an ambitious menu filled with elevated and playful American fare. Diners can start with duck-fat fries with Béarnaise, an egg roll version of a Philly cheesesteak, or deep-fried, dinosaur-shaped chicken rillette nuggets. In addition to a handful of salads, there are hearty handhelds like a salmon burger, french fry-topped Polish Boy, double smash burger, and shrimp Po’ Boy starring head-on prawns. In the big-plate department, there’s a 48-day dry-aged USDA prime strip steak, grilled red snapper, herb-crusted rack of lamb, lobster mac and cheese, and vegan mushroom bourguignon.

    Loved our dinner at Charter House! From Amari’s welcome to the open, chic space and chatting us up til our server Kayla stopped over, we felt the warm vibe of this place. We chose two cocktails, the 185th Paloma (tart and tequila-y) and a smoky cognac, with the smoke delivered on the spot in a very cool presentation. Definitely try the cheese steak appetizers. Very fresh, tasty, and crispy. Our entrees were also excellent—salmon with fried risotto and the steak and peach (they signed strawberries) balsamic salad. Yum! Props to the chef and staff. We’ll be back for sure.

    Good drinks made by Alexis. Food is a bit overpriced and moderately good. Quite noisy.

    Visited Charter House after seeing new CLE restaurants on Yelp. It's a very friendly, locally run establishment, with an emphasis on service and attentiveness. Some really nice items on the menu with reasonable pricing. I had the snapper with creole sauce that was outstanding. My wife had the short ribs which were fall-off-the-bone tender. All the dishes were accompanied with veggies and starch. The printed beer list only listed more generic beers, but our server, David, threw out quite a few craft options not listed, that fit the bill. All in all, it was a very satisfying dinner with friends. It's a newer restaurant so they are trying hard to make you feel at home... nice!

    I can't wait to go back The food was delicious. Night out with friends drinks were great. No complaints. We are planning our next date

    The overall experience was very enjoyable for my guests and I. This was our 1st visit, and we will definitely come back.

    First time to eat here and it is very nicely decorated and open -a good change from prior owners. Our waiter, although nice was new @& not aware of coordinating drinks, food, etc. Amira kept assuring us that she would make sure everything would be fine. However there was a big disconnect in bringing out drinks at the same time, bringing out the correct drinks at the same time, explaining to the chef why we wanted Our Caesar salad tossed and coated With the dressing. Our hamburgers and Penne Pasta were good but not sure if Would order them at the cost. We will give them another try and update our review.

    Our first time there. Service was good. A few menu selections were not available. But what we did have was excellent. Went for an early Friday night dinner and it was quiet and pleasant. Leaving about 6:30 it was getting loud. We will return again for an early dinner.
