   We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years, pre pandemic and post. The menu used to have a great dinner menu with a french flair, now its a glorified burger joint that serves an excellent breakfast. Dinner menu should have something other than a burger for a Sunday night entree special. My burger was oily greasy and not very good. Future visits will be for breakfast/brunch, sadly.

   Ooof Alvin - that stings a bit. We're grateful that you joined us the other night, but disappointed that you weren't pleased with our menu. It's a shocking to be called a glorified burger joint when we only have 1 burger on our menu - with the rest of our entrees featuring items like beef bourguignon, tourtière, and a wild mushroom risotto. We've pivoted in some of our offerings to be more accessible to our guests, as the economic times have been incredibly challenging for both the restaurant industry and diners. Our focus is on French-Canadian comfort food vs. fine dining, and understand if that's not your jam. Regardless of whether we see you at brunch or dinner, we're grateful for your business....and will do our best to lick our wound from this wee jab ;) Sending love and light!

   Always a wonderful experience at Chartier. Great menu food always perfectly prepared. Staff are top notch! And baked good to do. Will continue to return

   The food is excellent - visual, taste & portions are generous. Atmosphere is old style farmhouse, very cute & chic but wooden chairs are uncomfortable. Cocktail list is okay; nothing worth ordering a 2nd round. Staff are friendly & attentive.

   Strong odour of fish when I entered, off putting. Service good. Ambience good. I ordered 3 dishes, overcooked, over seasoned and poorly put together. Most of the food was left behind because it was so bad. Now I understand why it wasn’t busy. Need to do better or this restaurant won’t last imo.

   *ouch*, that stings Lee. We aim for a flawless experience, so clearly something went wrong when you joined us on fish and chip night (we're human, and therefore prone to human error). I'd love to connect further to learn exactly what went wrong, how we can make things right, and what we could have done to make you comfortable coming to us directly instead of posting this hurtful public review.

   We love eating here so much. Had the mushroom roast Benedict this time. It was fantastic.

   It was a great experience as always. It has always been our favourite place to go. We love to experience new meals. The servers made sure we had drinks refilled frequently and our meal experience was absolutely amazing.

   We absolutely love Chartier and are happy to do a little extra driving to go out to Beaumont. So it just made sense to go there for Valentine’s Day for their special honey dinner which was inspired, especially the also Buco, which was to die for.
