Chateau-X has quite the story, born out of lockdown, we took a luxurious chateaubriand experience to homes across the UK.

Growing our offering throughout lockdown saw demand for us to increase so much, we knew we couldn't stop when life resumed to the 'new normal'.

That brings us to today, Chateau-X in Finnieston, our first official restaurant, home to our luxurious Chateaubriand experience, for a reasonable price. Not skipping out on quality either as you might know already, we're vocal about being local.

Our mission is simple - bring top quality British sourced meat and produce to our community, with a bit of banter on the side. So, what are you waiting for?

Been here a few times now and never disappointed, today we went as a family and everyone enjoyed the meal. The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable. Great place to go highly recommended

Overall a poor experience. Expected so much more from this place but it was nothing special. Went on a Wednesday so the menu was limited and small which was fine as we were there for Steak & Frites. However waited just under 20 minutes to be served and dinner came a further 30 minutes after that. We were in the restaurant for around 45-50 minutes before we had anything to eat. The table next to us who came in around 15/20 minutes after us who were served after us received their meal before us. Very disorganised and the slim lady with glasses downstairs was so slow. She began making cocktails and clearing tables even before she had taken a drink order from us. Food portions are extremely small especially if you are a big eater :( steak was a lovely cut I must admit but it wouldn’t be enough to make me return. I believe the restaurant add a 10% service fee to your bill because people wouldn’t leave a decent tip willingly. We left and had to go for more food elsewhere. Also, almost forgot to add, the tables are SO close together that I had to shuffle to the toilet sideways. Very uncomfortable. Disappointed as was hoping this would be our new fave steak eatery, won’t be back.

Went for the steak frites which is excellent value for money. Got the fillet frites and the steak was delicious and we had some of the tobacco onions which were great. Our only gripe with the food is that that didn’t fill us up and we weren’t expecting it to, but there’s no real sides that would bulk up the meal, the onions were quite light, there’s carrots and loaded fries, which, if I’m already getting fries with the steak frites then we didn’t really want additional fries. There’s also disappointingly no starters on steak frites nights, so if you’re not a dessert person and you’re a big eater like we were the only real thing that will bulk up the meal is a second steak. The flat iron steak wasn’t as good as the fillet but that was expected and for the price I’ve no complaints. We were also sat next to a radiator which was burning my leg initially, managed to turn it down but it still wasn’t the most comfortable place to sit. The staff were really nice and friendly and they accommodated up being around 20 minutes early as well when they didn’t have to do that. I will definitely go back and try the a la carte menu in the new year.

Very noisy, a large group of boys being overly loud and the music was fairly loud as well. Atmosphere was much more relaxed once the large party moved on. Food was good, steak was meant to be medium but came quite rare. Wasn’t checked back on in order to get a re-fire which is ashame as the meat was of very good quality. Overall it was okay. Would potentially come back in future.

Outstanding food. Great service. Restaurant is just really cold. Been a few times now and always the same and we (4 of us) were all sitting chittering. Other than that, I will be back but will remember to wrap up.

Nice meal, however my partners steak was way over cooked and very very chewy. We did mention this however nothing was done unfortunately. My steak was lovely and the sides and frites were lovely, the girl who served us was also great, just disappointed with one of the steaks.

Service was fantastic thank you again lovely girl serving. Prices have went up from what was on the menu of Open table open table stated £10 for steak and frites and menu was £12.50. Last time I went u absolutely loved this place and couldn’t wait to rush back but this time I was a little more disappointed. I understand it is either pink or well done so I ordered pink as I like MR. This last time I went this was lovely perfect, but this time it was really blue steak. I couldn’t eat it.. or cut it. Was more like a fight with my food than enjoying it. (But that may have been the steak knife not being sharp enough) asked for it to be cooked a bit more it was okay but just wasn’t for me. my friend got pink aswell but hers was perfect. (She usually orders pink) Chips, prawns and sauces were absolutely amazing though.

First time here and definitely will be back. Great Sunday roast in a great wee setting. Staff were very welcoming and professional. Really enjoyed the experience 👍🏻
