We like the place as we have been before , unfortunately on this occasion we received our main meal then we were ignored for half an hour. We left disappointed and went across to Masserellis for dessert and coffee.

We had lunch there yesterday. My mushroom and poached egg was fantastic. My wife's homemade fish fingers were underwhelming and the pea puree they had spread over them was not great. But we had a good time and the service and ambience were great.

The staff were extremely polite, courteous, attentive and professional. In our view to pre book is essential. Our table was ready on time. Service was excellent and we could not fault the staff who were so attentive to our ordering needs. Our food was obviously cooked fresh and arrived promptly after our order was placed. Our meals were excellent. The ambiance at lunchtime was just right, there was a slight noise from conversation which is to be expected but it was such a pleasure to be able to have a conversation without having to raise your voice. The high ceiling probably assisted in this control of any noise. We have attended a number of times because it is such a good venue with excellent staff and excellent food. We would highly recommend visiting for a meal or indeed just pop in for a coffee. Well done to everyone!

Nice warm welcome , given a table with lots of room for our dog ..Dogs spaced out too which was good , food delicious, great menu choice & fabulous service. Both loved it ..

Been here many times and service/food quality is mixed, never consistent. Sometimes excellent, sometimes awful and always expensive, such a shame as ambience is good. Had Chatsworth burgers today which were not good. Burgers ok but bacon topping very over overcooked and chewy. Chips were over done and as usual, cold. Keep returning in hope things will improve as a good atmosphere and pleasant surroundings to eat in.

Lovely breakfast as usual, these guys have got it right . Lovely high quality products and always enjoy using the David Mellor cutlery/ stoneware !
