We Italians like to say that a gesture is worth 1000 words. When our hands aren’t in use, creating or experimenting with canvas and brushes, marble and chisel, pan and pot, we mould air with our fingers. CHE VUOI which translates to ‘what do you want’ is often an involuntary gesture, something we can’t help doing… Like sharing our love for Nonna’s rustic family dishes, fresh homemade pastas, artisan wood fire pizzas and great wines in a simple and relaxed atmosphere. Our experience this time was disappointing. The food (pasta) was bland. We had 3 drinks brought to our table that we didn’t order and despite saying this and the waiters walking away with those drinks, they still appeared on our bill at the end of the night. They were removed but they shouldn’t have been on there because the waiters should have addressed this with the bar staff.

Food was delicious. Staff were helpful, friendly & there when needed. Lovely ambience.

So happy to return to che Vuoi the ambience was awesome and the food fantastic great pizzas great wine list and super friendly staff.

Food was good, service tried hard but felt frantic. Host was rude and disinterested. The waiter announced that early bookings weren’t allowed to have more than one course- never heard of that in all my years of dining! And certainly wasn’t part of the booking process. Overall disappointing experience.

As always we had a fabulous meal at Che Vuoi celebrating a family birthday. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff are next level friendly and nothing is too much bother. We actually do not go anywhere else for a family celebration - it's that great. See you there!!

Had a party of 9 people and a pup in the outdoor marquee for dinner on a Thursday night. We had great service and the food did not disappoint. Will gladly go again.

Food was exceptional and compared to other Barwon Heads options this was the pick for us for both value and flavour. Meals were filling and full of flavour and the desert was awesome. This was our second visit and we will return many more times. We ate the seafood ravioli, the mushroom pasta and the desert pizza with nutella which were all very good. Previously we have had the pizza and other pastas which were also very good. I recommend this restaurant.

We've been to Che Vuoi many times, and while the food is consistently faultless and the young staff are always attentive, our recent visits have left us disappointed. The noise levels, especially during the holiday season, have become overwhelming, making it hard to enjoy a conversation or fully relax. It feels like the authentic Italian dining experience has been sacrificed to fit as many diners as possible. Another letdown is the inability to order entrees to arrive before mains—it disrupts the flow of the meal. To make matters worse, the tables are now so small that there's barely enough room for both entrees and mains to sit comfortably together. Overall, the experience feels rushed and cramped. While we love the food, the atmosphere and dining setup could use some attention to bring back the charm and comfort we once enjoyed.

Always amazing food, great atmosphere and friendly service. It feels like taking a step in to a tavern and Italy and being delighted by the authentic cuisine.
