   For 34 years I’ve been driving past Cheever’s on my way to the Asian District and I often thought I should stop in and check it out but didn’t. Finally, yesterday I decided to book a table for 3 and celebrate my sister’s successful week here with another dear friend. My other dear friend is very picky but I wanted to surprise her with this place. It turns out that when we pulled up she said she loved this place and that I’d made a great decision to eat lunch here. I was totally relieved that she was ok with the place bcuz she’s very picky and an awesome chef in her own right. The food and experience didn’t disappoint; in fact it was tremendous! Great food and outstanding service in a place whose ambience spoke of the restaurant’s rich history. I’ll be returning often to this gem. Special shout out to Jennifer, our server, who was outstanding! Thanks Cheever’s!

   Our lunch was ideal and what one wants. The service was prompt and efficient, professionally executed. The food was delicious and at the proper temp for the dish. The champagne I ordered was opened and served at the proper temp. The staff never forgot us, checking on us discreetly. A perfectly executed lunch.

   Good spot for lunch/brunch. We enjoyed a salad with salmon added and the chicken enchiladas. The salmon was nicely spiced.

   Great spot off 23rd. Parking might be a challenge but it’s worth it once you get inside. We had the blue cheese chips that were great, a chicken fried steak that was maybe the best I’ve ever had, and excellent brunch cocktails. Great spot.

    You can always count on Cheevers to be very, very good. Food is very good. Service was excellent as usual. My only complaint - even getting there early - before 5:30 pm, parking is ridiculously limited. The small parking lot on the side is very small and then take away 2spots for curbside pickup and you have to roam the streets. Off street parking is incredibly limited. My advice - go much later or late afternoon otherwise prepare for a walk after dinner.
