Le Chef Geoff's propose une cuisine américaine contemporaine dans un cadre sophistiqué mais convivial, avec un grand sens de l'hospitalité. Depuis 15 ans, le Chef Geoff’s est le restaurant de quartier par excellence à Washington DC. Il propose de tout : des pétoncles, du thon grillé et des steaks jusqu'à de délicieux hamburgers, en passant par des pizzas, des salades et des sandwiches, servis dans une atmosphère agréable et détendue. Le Chef Geoff’s est également l'un des meilleurs endroits de Washington pour manger en extérieur. Vous pourrez profiter des incroyables promotions lors des happy hours, notamment des burgers à moitié prix et des pizzas à 8,95 USD, mais aussi des vins à moitié prix tous les mercredis soirs. Le week-end, un brunch est proposé. Il comporte notamment des mets classiques, par exemple des œufs à la bénédictine et du pain perdu à la vanille. Bon appétit !

We chose for Valentines because of the lovely ambiance. Food varied from excellent to very disappointing: hummus and tuna poke bowl were great, cocktails and blackened salmon were well below what we've come to expect. The bacon old fashioned sounded delicious, and just the smoke from charred bacon over the drink would have been. Instead the bacon flavor overpowered the whole cocktail. Perhaps a lesson learned for us. I should have canceled my order for the salmon when the server said the chef recommends to cook it medium (!), but I didn't. And so I got an already bland piece of fish covered with enough heavy flavors - potatoes, onions, mustard and more - to overwhelm any good aspects of the fish. I even wondered if this day old fish that didn't get used in another dish the day before. The service was slightly over attentive, ready to take orders and dishes too quickly. And they did the too-common fault of bringing the espresso so long before the dessert that the coffee was no longer fresh and hot.

Our waitress was particularly good at serving us and making us comfortable. She was a tall woman and had been a student at AU. Brown Hair. Her parents were both teachers. I think she was from San Diego??

Servers were very attentive. Menu was varied but not too large. The cauliflower appetizer, the brussels appetizer and the focaccia bread were wonderful! Noise level was perfect. There were 5 of us and we could hear each other without raising our voices. Hope to come back soon!

Great food and service at a very busy lunch hour. I ordered shrimp for on my Greek salad; there were 10 beautifully cooked shrimp! We like the restaurant and easy parking.

Great Lunch during Restaurant Week. Chef Geoff offers its regular menu for appetizer, main and desert with options for trade for wine. Nothing could be better.
