    This was an AMAZING and unique experience here in Hawaii! There was communal seating, a chance to meet people locally as well as vacationers, the food was incredible, the wine was paired perfectly with each course and the people were so LOVELY! Both Connor and Kristin know exactly what they're doing! Do not even hesitate to eat here. We were fortunate enough to attend their first Feast of Seven Fishes dinner on Christmas Eve!! Again, don't hesitate!

    Came here with high expectation to dine with Chef Yuji Karaguchi but left underwhelmed and felt that the $225 dinner with 11 piece of sushi is overpriced. The fish selection was good. However, we did not expect the omakase to be all sushi without culinary creativity. Perhaps we should have asked for more information before we booked?

    Must try place, you won’t find a better dinner experience in Kona. Food, service, and ambience are perfectly on point.

    This was a great experience. It was my hubby's 68th birthday. Since he is 50% Italian, I thought it would be fun and informative to attend with the special chef from Italy. We were not disappointed. It was our first time and we will definitely do it again! Wonderful atmosphere, great people to dine with, the food was beautifully prepared and delicious! Thanks for bringing such an amazing dining experience to the Big Island!

    Fine Dining in Kailua Kona IS possible. Unless youʻre staying at or driving (up to an hour) to a high end resort, there are few options. Open Table provides flexible, unique and a variety of "pop-up" dinners created by acclaimed Chefs who know and deliver "fine dining". While the location remains the same, chefs transform the experience through their creations that often include farm-to-table ingredients. While some may balk at the price per person, the total includes tax and tip which weʻve calculated to be the same as or less than the final tab at a high end restaurant. Highly recommend this dining extravaganza, you wonʻt be disappointed. The workshops offered by top chefs are also top notch, whether it knife sharpening, how to select, prep, and serve ahi tuna or making pasta, chefs are knowledgeable, take the time to work with you, and the end result is confidence to be able to take it to the next step and replicate what youʻve learned in class.

    Chefs and Table is a retail shop that has pop up dining experiences 2-3 times per month. It is a community table situation and a great way to meet people. The chefs that the owner brings in have strong reputations in the restaurant industry. This is a way you know you can trust that it will be a great meal. In the past, there have been some meals that did not feel as worth the price, but it seems they’ve worked out the kinks with more courses and better drink parings. It is definitely something I’d recommend to both locals and visitors since our dining options are so limited in Kona. You can find the details for their up coming dinners on their website. I’m already looking to book my next one.

    Such a cool experience! I loved the night t knowing what to expect for the food and the fancy kitchen shopping options they had! I have never seen such beautiful cookware in my life I swear!!!!

    We were looking for a new experience and found it! The owners are very knowledgeable and love to highlight talent while providing opportunities to clients and staff. We chose the kitchen seating before arriving, which were lightly cushioned, swivel, comfortable counter stools with backs. We sat at a u-shaped table setting with a total of 8 people facing the kitchen, as the chefs prepared every course. In the future, we will select traditional seating. It was gorgeous and seemed to have similar detail benefits of the meal as the kitchen atmosphere. Our menu was so delicious and highlighted locally sourced food with a Mexican flare! Portions looked small, but with so many courses, we left satisfied. Each presentation was gorgeous with thoughtful tiny details and flavors carefully considered. Thank you for the wonderful experience Chef Joe and staff! Our chef, Joe Mooney, and staff, were well prepared and fast! Our service of 9 courses (pre-dinner refreshing drink included) was completed in less than 2 hours. Length of the meal all depends on the chef! Great Job Chefs & Table staff and owners. A special shout out to Chelsea for being the sweet, thoughtful person she is—Cherry on the top!
