Chefs San Diego is a new venue in San Diego's Gaslamp where we feature guest Chefs each week to showcase their culinary talents. We have specialty menus throughout the week that give the people what they want! We have a variety of cocktails and beers on draft as well as Hookah available from open to close!

Located in the heart of the Gaslamp, nearby American Comedy Co., House of Blues and Balboa Theater we feature a variety of items to service such a diverse crowd. As a black owned business, we highlight the culture as well as embrace creativity and innovation in the culinary industry.

The atmosphere was cool. I thought there would be more food to choose from, but I guess that was the daily menu. The items I wanted were for brunch. So, I ended up eating wings and sliders for my birthday. Wasn't what I wanted for a bday dinner, but everything taste good!

Service overall was really slow and so was the food coming out. No wonder gratuity is already include in the check.

Waited 80 minutes for subpar food. Terrible customer service. Don’t waste your money or time.

This is more like a bar or hookah lounge that serves food than a restaurant. It's also kind of expensive (but maybe that's just downtown).

Dollar cover charge to come and sit in the back where the DJ was not at my server was very rude. I went on a Jamaica night. There was no Jamaican food. It just was not a good experience overall.

Reservation was 11am…Server approached 15 mins after we decided to just sit ourselves. We got water but could not order drinks because the bar tenders hadn’t arrived. We got drinks 45 to 50 mins after arriving. Breakfast was decent but the potatoes were over cooked so not so pleasant to chomp on and my fried eggs were butchered. I wasted most of it but the bacon was perfect. Service was so slow with it not having that many patrons but it was our first time visit so we just know to eat something small before we come here because it’s going to be a long wait. The music was great! The server was nice. Definitely needs to work on time management when it comes to getting food and drinks out to customers, it was honestly the longest I’ve ever waited at a restaurant after already being seated. Could be 3 stars but as long as we waited for our drinks, they tasted like 90% juice.

You guys can do better! Please do better, I want this to succeed. The service on a Saturday was just moderate, nothing to write home about and that is the first thing you want in a restaurant visit. Everyone wants excellent service. The food was okay, I had the shrimp and grits. I ate the whole thing :) Update your menu, I was there on 17 September and the menu said July. I asked for outdoor seating (reservation), there was no outdoor seating. What is that about? Overall, I am going to go back, all in hopes of a better experience.

My husband and I were visiting for the weekend and was referred to Chefs from a friend. The whole experience gets 5 stars! I can still taste the food and the Jamaican punch..yummy. We will definitely be back!
