The cuisine here is extraordinary, some of the most distinctive and beautifully flavored Mexican food that I have enjoyed. Service is prompt and skilled; the ambiance is tasteful and unpretentious. Convenient to all downtown Tucson attractions. Go! You'll be glad you did.

This was our second visit to Chela's. The food, service and ambience again were excellent. The house Margaritas were particularly good. The quesabirria and the enchiladas were just right. I recommend Chela's highly!

The food was definitely prepared differently than other Latin restaurants. I had the shrimp fajitas and the peppers, onions and the other ingredients were already prepared. I can't eat green peppers and I told the waiter. He said that it was already prepared. I thought I could pick out the green peppers but they were so small that this was not a possibility. The waiter was very good and so was the ambience. My meal was average. I might consider returning to this restaurant but it would not be my first choice when going downtown. Rhonda

I had the carne asada street tacos and they were excellent! My wife had mini chimichangas and our server brought out a side of their mole sauce to try.

The food and service at Chela’s are outstanding! Their house Margarita was among the best I’ve had in Tucson, tasting of fresh limes…not the overly sweet drink from a bottled mix you get at many of Tucson’s Mexican restaurants. My wife had the carnitas tacos with their homemade corn tortillas, colored red from the beets used in the process. I had the birria enchiladas…again excellent. We’ll be back!

A little disappointed! Our waiter was very disorganized. And truth be told food was just ok

Overall, our experience was very good. The service was a little slow and our waiter seemed to be in his first days, so the ordering process was a little messy, but he was cordial. Food was also very good, great flavors and good portions. The music was a little loud, but not too difficult to have a conversation for a table of 5. I would come back since food is worth it as well as cocktails.
