   We didn’t know what to expect…and if we did, we would have been wrong. Wow!!!! This place is intimate and was a wonderful place to share a birthday celebration. Our waiter was great and the bartender was absolutely wonderful (she now has two more fans and it was wonderful to find someone who shares the same passion for a well crafted “Scally” cap. The staff was wonderfully warm and food phenomenal. Fresh takes on commonly found menu items made things refreshing. Plus they had live music, an acoustic guitar singer who performed many popular songs with his own twist. We enjoyed it so much we made our next reservation before dessert was even ordered. Not sure there can be a better recommendation for a restaurant than that! Thank you to all the staff, we really enjoyed our evening.

   Charming interior! Very fun vibe… Our friends had recommended it so we brought guests from out of town… service was slow, and the menu is eclectic and limited… our shared apps and entrees all arrived together. Short ribs were just ok. Didn’t see our server much after that… would have loved another wine and water refill. Not so much amore 😉🥂

   I had heard so many great things about the restaurant so maybe Valentine’s Day wasn’t the day. The band was great but it’s such a small space for a band so it was tough to have a conversation. The decor is really nice and excellent staff and service. It was pricey for so so food. I don’t mind paying for a meal but I expect perfection for $300 ( for 2). The dressing on the burrata was divine. The burrata was ok. The charred octopus risotto was really good. My husband thought the octopus was chewy (we love octopus and have eaten it all over the world so , again, high expectations. The wagyu meatball really failed. The egg noodles were bland, the meatball was dry, the sauce tasted like tomato paste. The dessert was decent. I would not go there again because there are other restaurants where I’m happy to drop $400 because I know they’re going to hit the mark. I’d go back for the bar, band and ambiance.

   Ambience sitting in back room felt like we are in someone’s garage. Food was ok and chef very accommodating but definitely not worth $380 for two people. Can’t recommend this place. The jazz band sounded good but we were there for a Valentines dinner.

    Really nice, looking forward to going back for a regular dinner and see the real menu, the food was fantastic. The music might have been a little loud for a Valentines dinner, but it was still really good. overall very happy we chose Chez L’Amour for a Valentines dinner
