The choice in the ala carte menu is very limited in comparison to what it was a few years back which was very disappointing. The description of the prawn dish was different to what was served and when questioned it was a vague response. There were small sharp bones in the duck spring rolls which could have been nasty if swallowed. Overall not a great experience and I would not go back.

We were really looking forward to trying this Chinese restaurant, it is near where we live and we’re hoping it would become a go to local Chinese. Unfortunately although we had booked the new year menu, there was no more duck available. It took 20 minutes to get someone to take our order for drinks and food . It took a further 40 minutes for any food to arrive. 3 different appetisers were on the menu, they arrived separately over a period of 20 minutes. The main course was supposed to have some rice which never arrived, despite being assured it was on its way. The ‘famous’ cricket ball dessert was sold out. The 2 different desserts we ordered just tasted of sweet cream. All the other food we ate was delicious, but I fear we won’t be back to see what the missing items are like

Went to this specific place for the Dim Sum, it was ok but not spectacular, there are way better options in London if you want Dim Sum and cheaper, the service was good and attentive, the drinks were on the pricey side (a tea for 1 person £8... its a bit high), the restaurant was not busy at all. Not going to repeat, again its not a negative review, but i was expecting more.

We had the weekend dimsum brunch meal for £20pp. Six dishes - 18 pieces. Very good value for very good quality creative food. The tea was also good. Matcha dessert was a disappointment. Flavour sacrificed for colour & form. Service was friendly & knowledgeable however the food was brought virtually all at once which meant some of it cooled too quickly. I'd visit again but break up the order next time to slow then down.

Slow service, got order wrong, had to repeat several times and once served no one came back, had to ask several times for bill still with dirty plates on table. Dumplings OK but not the best, £12 for noodles not acceptable. Place wasn't very busy, staff seemed more concerned with moving a room partition around than serving

Dinner at the Chinese Cricket club was a fairly soulless experience. The venue is in the Hyatt hotel and it was get echoey and didn’t feel warm or welcoming. Service was good and well paced. Food was very average and no better than you would find in any standards restaurant in Chinatown or similar. They also did not have all dishes on the menu available. Price was expensive for what we got and strangely they add a discretionary 13.5% service charge. The extra 1% makes little difference financially but is just weird that they would do this vs the more standard 12.5%. Overall not one of my better eating experiences and not one I would recommend I’m afraid

The dimsum are below average they all stick to each other and particularly to the paper on the bottom/ paper both for the hargow and siumai. The food are overly spiced and salty. The sweet n sour the pork was a bit tough to chew. The food seemed like precooked. The white rice lack fragrance and they don’t stick. The fried rice was mixed with the eggs and vegs but not stirred fried. The drink menu indicated tea didn’t come with pot. Table wasn’t very clean and my soda glass was cracked on the top. Overall it’s good value for the settings in London.
