   As usual, our meal at Cibo was fantastic! I highly recommend the Insalatta di Cibo. My husband orders the grilled salmon every time we go, and says it is the best he has ever eaten. The new baffle panels on the ceiling have made the sound inside SO much better— easier to talk to friends at your table. Service and atmosphere were on point.

   I had veal loin, she had the fettucine alfredo with shrimp. Everything was perfectly cooked. I had asked for a low salt entree, and they came thru with flying colors. I gave Cibo 4 stars on nearly everything... it's a Very Good restaurant, and we will return. It's not my favorite place, but well worth a trip once in a while. Our server Alex was knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. When I offer up my negatives, I want to emphasize these are not deal breakers by any stretch. Instead, they are the reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5. There's nothing at all wrong with 4 stars. It's just that it takes something special to earn 5. I found the by the glass wine list predictable and not particularly Italian. The ambiance is noisier than I would like (they have nice high - industrial - ceilings, but the surfaces are fairly reflective). Partly it's due to the floor layout - the tables are not spacious. If you're from New York City, you'll have no problem with the spacing or the noise, and other restaurants are probably equally noisy. But that doesn't mean it gets 5 stars... 2 salads, 2 entrees, 4 glasses of wine, 1 dessert, $175 plus tip. Not outrageous, on an approximate par with de Lisio's or Spring House, a good bit above Quanto Basta. One last thing: parking can be an issue. There is a valet ($12+), and a parking deck within 3 blocks. But don't count on street parking close by on a weekend evening. Buon appetito!

   New Years Eve was my first time dining at Cibo Trattoria. The atmosphere, service, and food were all amazing! The Zucchine Fritte for appetizer; Caesar salad; and the Rigatoni ala vodka with chicken for the main dish. Superb! Highly recommend!

   Food was excellent as always. What I love about Cibo as well is you never feel hurried. Last night was no exception. Our server was so patient with us and let us order each of our courses in due time. Our server was really exceptional and just made the meal! Don’t recall his name, but in his 20’s, tall, dark wavy hair. Well done!

   Food was great, as always. But my overall experience for this visit was a bit disappointing. I called earlier in the day to be clear on birthday policies, specifically if it was okay to bring a birthday cake for the celebration. I was told it was fine. I wanted to surprise the guest celebrating her birthday. I arrived approximately one hour before our reservation and dropped the cake off with the staff. They were open to receiving it and made note on the reservation (party name and time) and promised to take care of it. Dessert time approached and our waiter came around asking for dessert orders. He brought out the complimentary dessert for the birthday guest but failed to bring out the cake I had brought earlier in the evening. I had to find the person I first dropped the cake off with to find out where it was and why it was not brought out to the table. The girl (door receptionist) looked surprised when I asked about it…the cake had to be tracked down. In fact, no one had mentioned it to our waiter, as he was surprised to find out there was a cake. Eventually the cake did find its way to the table, just as the majority of the (unknowing) guests were getting ready to leave. It was very disappointing, to say the least!
