   This is more than a date night place. Anyone who wants an evening of great food & low keyed professional service should come to City Grille & Raw Bar. Happy Hour prices are extremely reasonable without sacrificing quality. Sorry to be only passing through the Jacksonville area. This could become “our place!”

   The brunch was excellent. The flavors and quality were wonderful and so was the service. Will be recommending City Grille whenever someone asks from now on.

   This is not my first time here .. I found this restaurant last year and it’s been one of my absolute favorite. Food always perfect and the service is outstanding. My favorite dishes are oysters with caviar, grilled octopus is the best of the best, beef carpaccio , Atlantic Halibut and the chocolate mousse.

   Party of 6. Didn't love our table. Felt we were in the walkway. Food was ok. My scallop dish was cold. I would have sent it back if I wasn't a guest at this birthday dinner.

   The food was wonderful, and each fish dish was unique and beautifully presented. This is a fine dining experience and the service was attentive but not intrusive. Lovely evening.

   This was our second visit to City Grille & Raw Bar. We were there a couple of months prior and everything was outstanding we we decided it would be a great place for our Valentine's dinner. We had a show after dinner both times and when we started the previous dinner, the server asked us right away if we had a show and made sure to get us out in plenty of time without us feeling rushed at all. This time we heard other servers asking that question, but ours did not. He would stop by, ask a question, and walk off while we were answering which was odd. Like when he asked if we would like wine, I said "Yes" and opened the wine menu to point to the wine and when I looked up, he wasn't there. I ordered an appetizer and was continuing with our entrees, but he walked away again. He came back and sat down on the bench next to my wife then scooted over to talk to the people seated next to us about 20 minutes after we arrived. They were obviously friends and we learned that he normally bartends there. They talked about other people they knew, other restaurants and bars, etc. When their server came up to take their order, he scooted back across the bench to get next to my wife and said "What''ll you have?" We ordered our dinner. A few minutes later, another server came and took "our neighbors" order, which happened to be the exact same thing except we also ordered asparagus. They received their order almost 10 minutes before we got ours. When ours finally came out, the asparagus was yellow, oily, cold, and shriveled up. We would have loved to say something but no one came back to to the table. We each tried one bite of the asparagus and it was awful. The frutti di mare and the braised short rib was excellent. We ate the rest of our dinner without anyone checking on us. When we were done, my wife went to the restroom while I tried to flag him down for the check. We arrived shortly before 5:30 and now it was 7:10, no time for dessert. Very disappointing celebration dinner.
