Excellent all round! One request though ... Claremont used to have a wonderful, spacious formal dining room, which was especially great for holidays and special events or entertaining. It also had a great view of the Bay/SF from most of the tables. That dining room has been closed for a couple of years now - really hoping Claremont will open that up again soon!

We had a wonderful experience enjoying holiday tea at the Claremont Hotel. It is a pricey treat, but we really enjoyed every minute. The rainy day outside made the vibe even more cozy and comfortable. Food was lovely and enjoyable and varied. Tea was really magical! Hope to do again someday.

They were running very behind and seemed to be very short staffed, both in the front and back of the house. We were seated 15 minutes late, then it took another 30 minutes to get a cup of tea. Our food (set menu, tea food) arrived an hour after we sat down. The bread for the sandwiches was stale, the scones were cold and hard. From what I heard, they ran out of items at other tables. My husband said he was lactose intolerant. He would have been fine with fewer options, but instead he was given foods that clearly were made with dairy. My family loves going out for a holiday tea each year. We’ve gone to many restaurants over the years and this was by far the worst. Usually the high price of an afternoon tea is worth it because of the special experience. This was the opposite.

We had Christmas tea and it was lovely...just a little on the pricey side. :)

We had our annual high tea, a Christmas tradition, here and it was excellent, from atmosphere, to service to food. We'll come again!

Wonderful experience with my 2 adults daughters and my Mom. Quiche was on the dry side and too much bread. Would like to see a better variety of savory offerings and also for the desserts would be good to have something chocolate!

Mediocre food. Beautiful table with a view and very nice waiter who had to replace lukewarm tea twice. Way overpriced,will not return,

We went for holiday afternnon tea and had an outstanding time. The decor was festive and the sophisticated atmosphere is just lovely. Afternoon tea started with a glass of bubbles and then followed by tea of your choice and an array of wonderful finger tea sandwiches, baked items and sweets. Our server Emily was a delight. They were able to accommodate a gluten free request with ease. Definitely recommend.

The ambiance was breathtaking, with elegant holiday decor that made everything feel so magical and welcoming. The service was truly world-class – attentive, friendly, and gracious. They even offered complimentary champagne, which added a special touch to the whole experience.
