We booked for Valentine’s Day. They took a 300£ deposit.
We arrived for
Our booking at 9:15. They had decided to do a 7 course tasting menu unannounced at 275£ per head.
We were sat down for our meal at 10:30 after having waited for 1:15 minutes for our table. By that time the live music had ended. And towards the end of the meal we felt the staff were ready for us to leave. The food was very good but the experience was ruined especially for Valentine’s Day. For the grand total
Price of £1079 with the wine. Absolutely ridiculous to impose a set menu without warning at that price. And then deliver a sub par experience. If a Michelin guide judge had been there I can guarantee they would have lost at least one star. Cherry on the cake, the waiting drinks were charged to us and no apology was given by the manager. I felt terrible for the young man dealing with waiting customers. He tried his best and was left alone by the manager who quite honestly should be fired. Typical experience of when restaurants forget that it’s their honor to serve you instead of your honor to eat their food.

We had the most amazing experience! The setting of the restaurant is stunning. The Michelin notes around are really special.
The staff were so attentive and kind for every single second.
The food was incomparable. We had the lunch market menu and the dishes the chef chose were unbelievably incredible. We could not recommend highly enough. One of our highlights was that the Claude Bosi came and introduced himself personally, which we were thrilled by.

Fantastic winter tasting menu with a number of creative dishes including truffles and seasonal ingredients, well combined with some of the signature courses that the restaurant is known for. Service is of the highest standard - and consistently. The wine list would not disappoint anyone. We will return soon and highly recommend a visit to other food-lovers.

This restaurant is everything fine dining is supposed to be: incredible depth of selection in the wine list, impeccable and attentive service, visually stunning plating with an amazing combination of flavors, perfectly cooked food -- it all combines for one of the best dining experiences of my life.
What was equally impressive was the creative alternative dishes they created for my dining companion who has multiple allergies; we've been in restaurants where the approach to handling multiple food allergies is a presentation of some bland meat, vegetables, and rice. The dishes they served to her were as stunning and delicious as the courses in the "standard" menu -- this is a 5-star dining experience all around. I can't heap enough praises on this place...truly amazing and worth every penny.

We had the 7 course New Year’s Eve menu with 6 wine pairings. We omitted the optional cheese course. Before we started on the Jerusalem Artichoke we had 6 amusement bouches in 3 servings, including the famous Bibendum egg. The artichoke, paired with a dry sherry, was followed by a Poached Gillardeau Oyster paired with a Swiss wine. The oyster was succulent. This was followed by a Mousseline of Dover Sole in a delicate champagne sauce paired with a 2007 Drapier Reserve Brut champagne which was excellent. We then had a Ravioli containing an egg yolk with white truffle and paired with an oaked Sonoma Chardonnay. The Ravioli was exquisite. The main course was Fallow Deer Rossini which was beautifully rare and tender. It was paired with a 2003 Languedoc - Roussilon which unfortunately had thrown and needed to be filtered. It was, however, an excellent wine. The palate cleanser was New Season Citrus and Chestnut and the desert an elaborately prepared Black Forest paired with a 2017 Valpolicella Classico which complemented it perfectly. We saw in the New Year with a complimentary glass of champagne.
The service was smooth and attentive throughout without being obtrusive, and the Sommelier had a comprehensive knowledge of the wines.
The tables are well spaced to maintain privacy and there was unobtrusive background music.
Overall an excellent, if expensive, experience.
