   Busy Sunday afternoon at this beachside hotel. Refurbished since last visit, it looks great. Very good layout. we booked for the dining room (recommend booking on a Sunday as it was busy). It was quite noisy with the group tables, kids, and live music from the adjoining open bar area. The potato scallops with promised chicken salt and vinegar were lacking a trace of either condiment. The burger was very good, and the prawn pasta although tasty was a little dry. Great selection of beers on tap.

   A busy night for the hotel but sadly food a little lacking. Over cooked steak and meals that arrived much later than others. A great local hotel but not the best experience this time with interstate guests.

   We love it here, come straight off the beach or dress up, the food is awesome and so are the staff

   Staff totally disinterested, no manners, quiet rude. This is really a very, very basic Hotel/pub pretending to be a trendy boutique bistro. It is not! only because it is the only pub in the area is why there are people there. the menu is limited and food fair in quality and taste. This web site is not effective - why book on this website and take time entering comments on where you want to sit etc when the staff dont read it? I will never go there again and have told many friends

   I was surprised at the high quality of the food. We had a hot lunch and the fish and meat were cooked to perfection and very tasty. . The only disappointment was the dessert. Only 2 choices and not good. The room was large and we ate indoors because it was too hot to sit outdoors but indoors was more formal and we were celebrating with friends who had their wedding anniversary. We booked online but there was plenty of room both inside and out. We will be returning.

   The atmosphere was good and the location was fine. I found the food was only average and did not seem good value for money. The wine in particular and the beer was to my mind overpriced and very poor value for money. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends

   I'm a big fan of the Clovelly and the food is great, well priced and fast. However, we had a teen birthday party there on a Monday night. They had warned us they already had a large booking but I think 30 extra people turned up. Consequently the service was not that great. I ended up stacking my own table's plates after waiting 45 minutes for them to be collected. They brought the birthday cake out and there were still leftover mains everywhere. The manager was dismissive and a bit rude.

   We had such a lovely afternoon and being a Tuesday was quiet. The garden area is comfortable and on a warm day a perfect place for a relaxing lunch with friends. The service was excellent, thank you Hanna, and the food beautiful. We would definitely visit again.

    Second time back for lunch and the food is just so YUM! great selection on the menu.. The snapper and greens was so good and everyone enjoyed their meals.
