   Food and service are excellent but be aware, it is very loud indoors. The patio is a better option if the weather permits. The crab cake salad is my favorite.

   Excellent food and service in a comfortable and casual coastal setting! The trout dip, burger, and cucumber jalapeño margaritas were wonderful. Easy to see why this place is a local favorite. And they even had my favorite passion fruit iced tea! Wish we lived closer because this would be on our weekly rotation. Well done to the owners!

   Our server, Zach, was great. I had the crab cake salad which was delicious. My guests had the seared ahi salad and the mini filet plate. Both also delicious.

   Pleasantly surprised that Coastal Kitchen was as good "as advertised". It is the recommended restaurant by hotels in Dana Point. We are local, but assumed it would be good but not great. Our experience was great! Good food, date ambience and good service.

   The trout dip and crab cakes were both outstanding! Delicious slaw comes with the crab cakes. Our server, Isaac, was the best! We had had a long travel day, and he gave very prompt service, along with a sense of humor…very appreciated!

    The food is excellent and servers are fabulous. We dine here frequently and the only issue that keeps coming up is that we have to wait well after our reservation time to get seated. I understand that there are a lot of factors involved but it’s happened often enough (and rarely happens at other restaurants) that I believe it’s a matter of how your reservations are managed and that there is some room for improvement.
