Since 1992, Coco Pazzo has been an award-winning, Tuscan-inspired Chicago favorite. Menu items include the Porterhouse Bistecca alla Fiorentina and whole Mediterranean Sea Bass filleted tableside.                                                                                                                                               Coco Pazzo is one of my favorite restaurants but this time, we had a terrible waiter. He was surly, disappeared for a long time. I asked for more water 4 times before getting it. They were busy but for this level of restaurant, service was terrible. Food, as always, was great except my husband's salmon. He asked for med rare but it was almost like sushi! Again, waiter was MiA.

Running a half hour late with a curtain time coming up, the staff took our order promptly which gave us time to enjoy dinner. The roasted vegetables in the Anitpasti were great!

Unfortunately they overbook themselves and you find yourself waiting >30mins after your reservation and we were not the only party waiting. One party waited over 1hr. Host was not welcoming and did not appear to care that they were so behind. Hostess was friendly. They should offer a free drink or something when so behind. Once at the table, service was slow. Took over 10mins to see a server. Drinks took over 15mins. Waitress rarely came back to check in and never after the food was served. Added an extra order of appetizer on the bill, assuming everyone wanted some, but never asked or informed us that is what they do. Never got my coffee with dessert. Small things but all added up to a disappointing evening. For a restaurant of this caliber, you expect more.

I can’t believe it’s taken me 10 years of living in Chicago to come to this cozy italian dinner spot, but i’m so glad I did! My big family came here for my mom’s birthday and we couldn’t decide who’s dish was the best because they were all so delicious. The staff was kind and attentive and we really enjoyed coming here. Highly recommend!

I live in the neighborhood and had not been to Coco Pazzo in a couple of years. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Pizza, swordfish, tuna Crudo and salad were awesome.
