This was my first time visiting for brunch, though I’ve been here before for Happy Hour. My friend ordered the omelet, and I had the breakfast poutine paired with grapefruit mimosas—everything was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was lively, though initially a bit too noisy for our liking. Once the two nearby tables cleared out, it became much more enjoyable. Service was a little slow; our waitress didn’t check in often, so we found ourselves trying to flag her down a few times. Despite the minor hiccups, we had a great time. I definitely recommend this spot for brunch or Happy Hour and will be coming back!

The food was good, but nothing out of extraordinary. The drinks took more than 20 minutes to get served. The waitress apologized multiple times for the waiting time in beverage saying that the bar tender was too busy, and we understood. However, being charged 18% gratuity for this slow service is not really fair.

From start to finish, the ambiance, the food and the service were stellar. The bistro salad, coquille Saint-Jacques and the crème brulée were incomparable. I cannot eat gluten and so the sauce for the scallops was modified and tasted delicious - buttery and smooth. Our server, Christo was attentive and thoughtful in his recommendations. Highly recommend.

Server was friendly and food was good (salad was good portion, halibut delicious but a little dry - thank goodness for the sauce, dessert was enjoyable). Would consider going back to try something else.

Quiche not recommended. Cool and the salad is so so. Disappointing. Last time had the croque-monsieur and it was served cool and tough bread. But, did have your curry muscle one night and it was delicious. So, I recommend a review/assessment of your brunch/lunch menu. Service is always near perfection with staff who care.

My friend and I went to Cocotte for dinner and it was amazing. The drinks were good and the food even better. The staff always ready to answer our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Victor.

We came to Cocotte Bistro for breakfast at 9.30 am on Sunday. We waited 30 minutes to place our order. Then we waited an hour for our food. When out order came, the food was cold and our eggs were over-cooked. I have rarely had such terrible service in any restaurant. There are many better place to eat in Ottawa other than Cocotte Bistro.
