   A Wonderful evening again! Our neighborhood gem and go to! From Paul our waiter to the whole team everyone seems happy to work there! The food (trout and grouper this time) were excellent and the Sardines perfect!

   Cognac confirmed it was our anniversary that day. When we arrived that evening they sat us at a cafe style two top just adjecent to the bar and with a great view of the kitchen. Why? It was slow inside and there were numerous 4 tops available for the entire time we were there. Wife hates a scene so we stayed-put. Salmon was well cooked but the sauce was benign. Literally flavorless. Mesclun salad with goat cheese got good reviews. French fries were homemade and well prepared but there was nothing French about them. More of a Miller's Ale House offering. No mayonnaise offered. Escargot was well prepared but there was so little garlic butter it was tough to get any with the dry bread provided. Garlic butter is the whole thing for me with escargot. The mussels were piled so most were not in the little bit of white wine sauce afforded the bowl. Not really possible to rotate them in the small bowl so 2/3 of the mussels were open-air dry. Service was friendly but a bit overbearing. The 2 glasses of sparkling wine as an anniversary wish were well appreciated. It was an average meal but I hope for more when venturing out for any dining experience. Accordingly, it is an experience we will probably not repeat.

   My meal was excellent. Great daytime/brunch menu. Had a pleasant surprise when I saw sardines on the menu. My first thought was that they were frozen. I asked, and they were fresh from Portugal. I sat outside facing south because of my puppy; a bit isolated and bombarded by pollen from the trees. I did take a look inside and the restaurant looks like a true bistro. Will be back soon to try something else on the menu at dinner time.

   As have many other reviewers - I will say, it is very loud. However, the food was excellent with service to match. We were a party of six, so we savored quite a variety of options - all of which were very good. I would recommend but if weather permits - sit outside!!

   Everything was delicious! Cocktails, grouper, steak frites, tarte citron and crème brûlée - all excellent! Service was attentive and friendly. Nice vibe overall. We will be back!

   Came to Cognac with a few friends for Happy Hour. They did a good job renovating from the prior restaurant. We all had happy hour wine, which was really nice for $6. Happy Hour food was OK - I probably wouldn’t get it again. The three choices of sausages, shrimp, or lamb chops. I think it’s better just to order off the regular menu - the ham sandwiches were so delicious. My friends loved the burger. Great service from Victoria. I read them prior reviews that they are trying to work on the noise. It is very loud.

   Nice meal, ambience was great and the staff were attentive and friendly. Our meal/ food was great just one dish was not as good as we had hoped which was the shrimp. Other than that it was a perfect experience and we will be back!

    We had an amazing experience last night. It felt like sitting on a bustling side street in Paris. Loved the duo of Foie gras and the rainbow trout. Somehow this space has been transformed by the new owners. It is magical. The service was professional and friendly. We have had the pleasure of dining at almost every single restaurant in the area and this is our new favorite.
