They food is good but the fruit in each dish was totally no ready. The melon and pineapple were too hard to cut. The service was really slow. We were two people in our party and the entrees came out at different times. One person finished hers before the second person got hers. I think they are short staffed. The ambiance however is well worth those inconveniences. It felt like we were transported to a resort far away.

Honest review: the food is okay, nothing spectacular, the staff are just nice, the place just looks like a regular old camp. It’s not luxurious as I expected it to be. It does feel like you are away from the city. Having a ride back to the ferry is also nice. The live music was nice as well. But I think this place needs quite a few improvements in ambiance( maybe some more fire pits, adding things like plants, it really needs foliage. Tables in restaurants were not exceptionally clean, and the staff are not all on the same page (knowing how to deal with reservations etc.)

This is probably my 4th time to dine here and the exceptional service and quality of food just keeps getting better. I usually take groups of friends who have never been here and every single time each group would thank me profusely for introducing them to this one of a kind gem in NYC. They always wonder why no one knows much about this place when it's easily one of the best experiences in the city. I like sharing wonderful NYC experiences with friends and visitors to the city but it's one of those places I wish I could keep a secret - to keep it for myself and my friends in order to avoid potential overcrowding. But it's such a wonderful experience overall that it's so hard not to say nice things and brag about. Everyone should experience this... New yorkers and visitors alike. The views are unmatched. The food is great. The ambiance is very chill. There's relaxing live music and bonfire with s'mores at night. But truly the best part of this whole place is the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and genuinely nice. Our server, Sandra, was so accommodating. We were a group of 10 who kept going back and forth from the table to the grounds to watch the sunset and Sandra was very patient. We never felt rushed. When we were paying, the manager behind the counter asked us in a a sincere way if we had fun. This place is definitely a gem!!!

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. We ate in the restaurant with our four children and we had an amazing time. The food was really good and the waiter was excellent! The views over the Manhattan skyline are incredible. I would highly recommend a trip to Collective Governors Island.

The location and seating area is wonderful, that is if I could get past my guilt about having to complain about a dinner out whilst others are being massacred by Russians. The wait staff is impeccably uniformed and extremely attractive, yet rarely made an appearance at my table. First off, I made an online reservation for 5 PM and when I arrived they told me they do not take reservations until after 5:30 PM. Next, the online all-day (3-9pm) menu has about 12 or 13 items but the menu they handed me, had only 4 items including a bowl of almonds or olives. No shrimp, no oysters, no tuna, no gazpacho, no dessert sampler, nada! Just a cheeseburger priced at $23 online but on my actual check it was $27 or $28. We had to eat cheeseburgers or have the $110 per person dinner, which is not on the online menu at all. The cheeseburger was 2 totally raw patties gray on the outside purple in the middle, slathered A creamy sauce that dripped all over the place with super sweet sticky mostly raw bacon and melted cheese. The brioche roll was thin and crumbling and mushy, served with small side of Potato chips, guess that goes with the camping vibe! All 3 orders were raw. It did taste good, if u appreciate steak tartare. When the folks seated next me got their cheeseburgers there was a lovely pickle stuck on top, ours did not have that lovely pickle. The restaurant caters to the folks that are staying overnight in the tents, if you were going out just for the meal I would plan on having a very Laissez-faire attitude about the evening. One thing you can count on is the grin on the Statue of Liberty as she watches your face when u receive the tab for a most weird afternoon.

The service was so bad that it felt like we were being punkd. A catalogue of errors. No menus for about 15 minutes after sitting. Two glasses of water for 4. Waited ages for drinks. Food came out sporadically. Was asked out of nowhere whether we were still waiting on any food when we had just ordered. Yes, still waiting on everything! Multiple waiters so unclear as to who was serving us or responsible. Plates not cleared for ages even when other dishes being dropped off to table. Given certain dishes twice. So bad we felt like getting up and helping out since I’m sure we could have done a better job even though we have no restaurant experience. Oh and lastly e wry one working there seemed miserable and I can understand why-every single table was complaining!!
