The Colonial Cafe recreates the atmosphere of the halcyon days of the planters of Malaya and offers authentic classical cuisine from the colonial era. Plush red leather chairs, crisply starched white tablecloths and timber paneling reinforce the colonial feel. Located in the Majestic Wing, it seats 120 both indoors as well as in outdoor covered courtyards. Dine to the soothing music renditions by The Solianos, descendants of the legendary maestro Alfonso Soliano, a family whose musical traditions are entrenched in the nation's history.

We went there every year,but the scone now taste different a little bit, overall for me i still rate it at 7.5/10

One of our favourite places for afternoon tea in KL, great atmosphere in a cosy drawing room setting. Love the pianist and the piano music.

Afternoon tea set was very good; however, I don't see it "festive". just a normal tea set (but a little more expensive than usual). Even, I had better tea sets at the same place, at different periods of the year. But it is still a good tea set, valuable for the price, in a wonderful environment and a perfect service. I recommend it warmly.

A lovely setting with wonderful staff. The tea set was delicious, however hoping that in the future one can have more options for tea or coffee selection. Thank you.

It was a nice gathering of friends at Colonial cafe on 20th Nov. We enjoyed the ambience & music very much.

There were altogether 8 of us sitting at 2 tables. Besides other food we ordered 8 baked crabs and 8 mulligatawny soups and both servings were a disaster!! The baked crab had hardly any crab meat but instead was filled with shrimps and pieces of salmon!! What was that about? The mulligatawny soup looked and tasted like lentil soup! U may get away with the the younger crowd but those who have had access to the Selangor Club or the Colonial Cafe in Batu road in the past will be totally dissapointed...present company included!!
