Join us in the Forge Tavern for nightly musical entertainment Wednesdays through Sundays. Wednesday evenings feature the ongoing "Jimmy Mazzy and the Last Minutemen" and Thursdays will find John Fitzsimmons and his folk-song guests. Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings feature rotating entertainers--all from the local Concord and Boston area. There is no cover charge.Tuesday evenings feature the popular "Stump Trivia" nights. Join friends--or come as you are--and test your smarts against other guests to win gift certificates. Entertainment runs from 7:30-10:30 Tuesday-Sundays.

Inexperienced front line staff. 6pm Reservation for 2. Confirmation email and text received. Upon arrival exactly at 6pm was told another party had already been seated under my reservation? No other tables available, restaurant sold out. Hostess repeatedly stated "it's not out fault-we don't have any other table for you". How is this not their fault? They seated the wrong party. Drove over an hour to dine here. Asked for the manager, very grumpy stated she had one table but it was reserved for 7:15pm (Now 6:15pm) and we would have to be done by then. I too had a confirmed reservation! Seated, had a great server. Meals arrived in record time as they were only giving us a table for an hour! Never heard from or saw the manager again. No "how is everything" or a glass of wine on the house. NOTHING. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. No apology from management that they sat the wrong party at my reserved table! One last note, two tables for 2 were free in the same dining room the entire time we dined. Inexperienced staff unable to handle holiday dining rush. Would definitely expect better from the venue and a bill for two that exceeded $100.

Dinner at the Colonial Inn after the Concord tree lighting has been a family tradition of ours for many years. Never again! Gone were the days of festive holiday lighting, Christmas trees and gingerbread houses galore in the lobby. There were some years that carolers and even Santa had made an appearance in the dining room. Instead we dined in a stark dining room that didn’t have an iota of Christmas cheer. Average food and unremarkable service rounded out our dining experience. What a sad turn of events for our holiday tradition - we will move on next year to a different restaurant that shows some Christmas spirit!

Quintessential NE atmosphere with a lovely menu and old world charm! Our server, Christina, couldn’t have been nicer! She gave us time to catch up and relax. It was a fantastic luncheon! Looking forward to going back again soon!

We always enjoy coming to the Colonial Inn and often have lunch outside when weather permits. Today, we had an enjoyable meal on the front patio with superb service by our server, Melissa. She was absolutely terrific and made the whole experience terrific. The Colonial Inn is one of America’s gems and a part of the country’s history.

A profoundly underwhelming experience, to put it politely. The food is mediocre but the main problem for us was being seated in one of the horrible, 1980s rooms. If you go, ask for a table in the liberty section. The service is appalling all around, poorly trained and rude.
