The servers are very nice and managers are outstanding from my experience at least. Food is always on point as usual. Had a nice “day date” with my wife and the outside ambiance and weather was fantastic.

The salad was great as always but the rest of the food Unfortunately had very little flavor. We ordered a tapas trio with scallops, shrimp and chicken empanadas. There was lots of butter but no herbs or any other flavors. And the empanadas were crispy but the filling had no discernible flavors. The bean soup again was light stock and not much flavor, which is difficult to do with both sausage and bacon it. It was one of our favorites but we probably would only go back for the salad and sangria. And our server was v e r y slow with everything and the place was basically empty.

Columbia Café on Water Street was a great find for a Saturday afternoon lunch before catching a water taxi and exploring the riverfront. The location is ideal—right behind the History Center, with a great view of people strolling along the Riverwalk. While the river itself isn’t fully visible from the tables, the lively atmosphere and people-watching more than made up for it. The food was spot on. I had the picadillo lunch, and my wife went with the 1905 Salad—both were packed with flavor and just the right portions. The menu leans into Cuban classics, and they do it really well. Our server, Yosniel, was friendly, quick, and super attentive, which made the experience even better. The setting itself is beautiful. It’s an open-air, covered patio that stayed comfortable even in the Florida heat, thanks to a nice breeze. We made our reservation online with no hassle, and getting there was easy—just a short walk from the riverfront hotels. We stayed downtown, and even from there, the 15-20 minute walk was a great way to take in how much the area has grown. Best part? The price. Even with tip and drinks, we spent less than $30 per person, which felt like a great deal for the quality. If you’re looking for a relaxed, scenic spot with great Cuban food, Columbia Café is definitely worth a visit!

Impeccable experience. First time dining here and won’t be the last. Loved the outside and the food! Our server Ayanna was a gem. You’ll be lucky to have her! Made a refreshing and yummy mojito pitcher right in front of me and my fiancé. Will be back eventually with more family.

I have been to several Columbia locations and this was the worst experience of them all. The server was not knowledgeable and lost. Our salad was served after our entree. The entree was cold, so it had been sitting for a long time before it was brought to the table. The server lit the packaging of a cake in fire at the table beside us. Could not find our server with a search warrant all night. Bill presented and paid for and he never cleared the table. Pay at table was useful or I would still be sitting there. Do not go here. App would not allow me add picture

William was an amazing server. We had a miscommunication on our order and he made it right immediately! We had several tapas and of course a 1905 salad for my wife’s birthday, and we enjoyed every satisfying bite!
