Nested in Uphams Corner, Dorchester, we're a lively and intimate 30-seat restaurant serving brunch on the weekend and dinner at night with a full bar and outdoor patio. Our food is a celebration of the ingredients and flavors of the African diaspora connected from Asia to the Americas — global comfort food. We are proudly Black-owned, immigrant-owned, and women-owned. We believe that food is a vital aspect of community building and we envision a place that is actively engaged in highlighting the culture, art, and history of our community.

- Patio dining: patio reservations are weather-dependent and may be canceled due to inclement weather. Our patios are partially covered protecting from light to moderate rain and light wind.

- Timing: dinner's last seating is at 8:45pm and brunch's last seating is at 1:30pm. Your table is reserved for 90 mins for parties of 1-5 guests and 2 hrs for parties of 6+ guests.

De la part des éditeur·rice·s d'OpenTable: Le menu interculturel de ce petit bijou de Dorchester ne ressemble à rien d'autre dans la région, et c'est pourquoi il a déjà obtenu une critique cinq étoiles de la part du Boston Globe et a été nommé meilleur nouveau restaurant de 2023 par le Boston Magazine. Le restaurant, dirigé par Biplaw Rai, associé gérant, et Kwasi Kwaa, associé chef, est un clin d'œil aux riches contributions des immigrés à ce pays. Wonderful variety of flavors you don’t find many places. Very much appreciate the drink program, especially with so many non-alcoholic options. Looking forward to going back when we can enjoy the patio.

Great food! Best Steak & Egg in the city super flavorful plate Pork dumplings are a must and the CK Hot sauce is super hot!! Wash it down with a cocktail it wont disappoint!

Amazing food and very good flavors! I will say the appetizers were rather small for the price. We got the okra and it was so good but there was probably less than 10 pieces and they weren't even big. The jackfruit sliders were fantastic and delicious but again, pretty small and the buns were dry. They should butter and toast the buns or use a different type of bun that's more moist. The jerk duck was perfect, no notes. My vegetarian boyfriend loved his mushroom dish. Our drinks were phenomenal. The ambience could be better, the lights were a bit too bright in my opinion. The space was really small so I think they didn't want to overdo it with the decorations but I think a few touches here and there to make the space less blank would be beneficial. The space lacked some coziness. But truly overall, great experience!

Absolutely incredible food. Boston's food scene is terrible, but this place is amazing. I've tried a bunch of Boston's best restaurants, and this one tops my list. You can really tell that the owners and staff put so much care and attention into the menu, the service, and the experience as a whole. I'll be back for both dinner and brunch!

The mushroom entre and and the ube tres leches were standout dishes that I still think about. Look forward to repeat visits and hope the tres leches becomes a permanent staple on the menu.

I was so disappointed! After reading about it for a while I was cheering from the sidelines and could not wait to go. An almost complete let down. We went for brunch and I ordered the burger. It was probably one of the worst burgers I have had in years. It was tough, over seasoned to the point that I wondered if it was vegan. It should be called a meatball. It was so overcooked and hard. The fries were good and really liked the seasoning on them. The service was inattentive at best. There were four of us. Food came out with large intervals between one diner to the nexts. We ate in shifts. There were probably 4 or five things we had to keep asking for and the server made no attempt at even trying. I hope we just had an off experience but for $250- No I wont be back.

Had a great Valentines Day dinner at Comfort Kitchen, would love to go back. They've interesting take on African, Indian and global food. Must try - jack fruit sliders (one of the best I ever had), roasted chicken was amazing, tres leches desert was very good
