With only 10 bar height chairs at the cocktail bar, the COMMIS BAR experience offers a fixed 4-course menu highlighting some the best seasonal Northern California ingredients through modern and classic cooking techniques.

Diners at the bar are invited for 1.5 to 2 hours over the entire course of the meal with the shorter fixed menu compared to our full length DINING ROOM menu experience.

The BAR menu is a 4-course set menu that is only offered at the tall bar chairs at the 10 seat cocktail bar. Menu Price $109 per person Optional Beverage Pairings $60 per person A $100 per guest security deposit is collected upon booking the reservation. The deposit will be credited towards your final check after your experience at the restaurant. Pricing is exclusive of a 20% service charge CANCELLATION POLICY *For cancellations, please call or email the restaurant at least 48 hours in advance and we will issue a full refund. The reservation cannot be changed, rescheduled or refunded within 2 days of your reservation date. Policy applies to COVID related cancellations.

This was our second time at Commis we sat the bar and had the pre fix with wine pairing! It was amazingly delicious and the service as always was excellent. We enjoyed trying the new items on the menu and some old favorites. If you are looking for a unique dinning experience look no further.

Incredible food and wine pairing experience. All that in a great and friendly atmosphere. Probably the best in the Bay Area

We’ve didn’t hear several times and Chef Syhabout and his team never disappoint! The food, service, and ambiance are always stellar. The atmosphere is never stuffy, and always relaxed. Whether we are eating at the bar or in the main dining room, everything is consistently fantastic! I could not recommend this place more.

Very creative. Loved the poached egg and smoked date in creme fraiche sauce. Oysters were small and very good and tom yum popcorn was really good Swordfish was quite good. Dessert disappointed both of us. lemonade with black sesame syrup was OK but needed more sesame syrup IMO.

Commis is a culinary experience worth having, once in a while. Definitely not your average week’s experience. We sat at the bar and did a partial paring of wine and added the extra course to the meal. Everything was presented in a unique way. Each course was served on a special plate or box, such that it was a feast for the eyes as well as the pallet. The pacing of the five courses allowed us to enjoy the moment while progressing through the meal.

Its…good. But the value just isnt there. We did have the bar menu, so not as elevated. But at $200/person, not even close to being worth it. The first was a litte tartar bite which was…good. The second was a tomato salad that was embarrassing. The third was the poached egg yellow and soubise which was outstanding. The fourth was swordfish which was…okay. The dessert was decent. Ive eaten at a lot of Michelin restaurants and even their side shows, their attached bars or cafes, are amazing. This doesnt do what it was meant to do. Sorry…they were nice but I wouldnt recommend.
