This lovely restaurant is located in the same building as the Angard Arts Hotel. As a hotel guest the location was perfect. The restaurant host reluctantly relocated us to slightly more quiet place from the kitchen door. The Baby Spinach Walnut Salad that my husband and I shared was voluminous and delicious. Without the goat cheese, it would make a full dinner for a vegan. I had vegani tikka masala which was a little salty for me. Hubs had the petite steak. At his request they provided a mushroom gravy instead of the cream sauce. He said that his meal was perfectly sized and the steak was cooked just as he wanted. Overall the food was delicious.

Online, this place looks a bit more upscale. When we got there, the place looked exactly like the photos. Food was 10/10. I got the seafood pasta, and my partner got the steak. However, what threw me off is how the staff dressed. This place serves seafood and steaks and they had a server in a full blown FedEx uniform! Head to toe, in the black and purple uniform that said FedEx on it and was serving tables. Unprofessional. Luckily this was not my server. My server was awesome, she made a mistake and brought out the wrong dish to someone at my table. We were not going to say anything, but she noticed and took care of it on the bill.

Great experience in a quiet, secluded corner of the Angad Hotel lobby for New Years Eve. Food was really good (jerked lamb chops, scallops, and mussels). Drinks were imaginative and refreshing ("violetta" cosmo and eggnog). We would recommend this restaurant to our friends and would certainly visit again. Service was friendly, prompt, helpful, and not intrusive. Parking was easy, particularly because there was no Fox Theater production and Powell Hall next door is closed for renovations. A pleasant surprise.

I would completely recommend Commonwealth- especially since the location is right by the Fox! The service and ambiance was great. The food was really good. We had the scallops and lamb. The waitress was extremely responsive and they had a great cocktail list.

This is a fun spot. The food was excellent. I'm a salad fiend and their fall salad is now at the top of my list. The staff, though clearly well-meaning, were over burdened. No one checked in with us after we were served. If they had, I could have told them that the chicken I requested was left off the salad. This is no big deal; it happens. What was a bigger deal is that, after flagging a server down and being told they would get it, it never arrived. When the bill came, I was told then that the chicken would take too long to cook so they just...didn't. That's a new one on me. My hope is that as the kinks get worked out at this new and very promising eatery, such events will be a thing of their past. We absolutely plan to go back, though. This oddity did not tarnish our overall opinion. Great pre-Fox show choice.

Great menu selection for dinner. Try the truffle fries. All of 7 at our table ordered a different main course, and all of them were excellent! Service was outstanding. Wine and cocktails were very good. Location is great if you're seeing a show at the Fox or Sheldon or happen to be in the neighborhood.

The bar area can get “vibrant” with customer’s volume, so it’s best to sit in the back dining room if you wish to have a quiet conversation.

Food was great, server was great. Food took a long time and the manager was not helpful at all in getting us parking validations.
