   Every item on the menu is my favourite item on the menu. Excellent prices, service, drinks are always on point and there’s not a restaurant in the city that plays better music.

   I was really excited to finally get a table for my birthday dinner at Conejo Negro this weekend. Overall i had a good time but not quite what i expected. PROS: To begin the evening off i got caught up in a traffic jam on the DVP due to an accident. I called and explained and the host graciously assured me not to worry they would extend my booking time. I arrived about 40mins late but my other guests were already there. We were advised to order family style and share the dishes as the kitchen was small - no issues folks were happy to share with the exception of my vegan friend who got her own meal. Music was on point, vibe was good energy, we had time to relax and enjoy the meal and wasn't rushed at all. Fairly quick and attentive service throughout the meal. Food was good, fave dishes were the squash dumpling the Caesar, mac n cheese, lamb curry and harissa wings. CONS: Our waiter was fine but did/ said a few odd things that after the fact my friends and I were not ok with but also didn't want to say anything as we were out celebrating. We had a question around the size of the plates and he proceeded to break it down us for by referencing if we were to go to a restaurant in Oshawa and order a meal then small = apps, large = entree. Odd reference and he also made sure to say he wasn't being condescending .... As it was my bday, after we got our drinks, I asked if he could take a group pic. ..he said sure, could i wait - ok np. Then added something to the effect of. -you're here for dinner we have a couple of hours left (as in i had time for photos) at least that was my interpretation. I then indicated i prefer to take pics before the food came out -so he took it. He knew it was my bday but didn't even recommend a dessert or offer a complimentary dessert - typically that's what restaurants do even though they don't have to. Ok foods- jerk chkn the meal was wet, and fried ckn was not crispy. Happy we tried it but none of us will likely go back.

   Food was absolutely delicious and the service was super attentive and friendly! Only down side is the restaurant is a little loud, other than that, great!

   Overall like the restaurant, but was not a fan over selection we received from the fix menu. I would do away with the fix menu for large parties or review the items.

   Conejo Negro is always my first choice for any occasion. The food is incredibly flavourful, the service is friendly and thoughtful, and the atmosphere is lively and energetic. Every dish is packed with flavor and beautifully presented, making you want to come back again and again.

   Fourth visit and never disappointed. Perfect place to celebrate or just chill after work. Staff is great and everything ia delicious. The cornbread is a particular slice of heaven.

   Waited an hour after my reservation to be seated. People with later reservations got seated before me because the team seemed unorganized. Waited in the cold at that. Food was underwhelming, not sure if it was rushed because of the fact they were so busy but my peers speak so highly of the place, only thing I thoroughly enjoyed was the shrimp

    Conejo Negro was very cool! The music was exquisite, the food was packed with flavor, and the ambience was one of a kind. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
