We had made a reservation in advance, but unfortunately, our visit coincided with a snowstorm, so things weren’t operating as usual. The patio had quite a bit of dripping due to the weather, which was understandable given the conditions. Despite the challenges, the food was absolutely fantastic. We started with the Brazilian cheese puffs, which were amazing, and the cornbread, which was surprisingly good—moist and flavorful. For our mains, we tried the Jerk Chicken and the Curried Lamb, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The meal ended on a high note with the Tres Leches dessert, which was rich, creamy, and very satisfying. Service was quick and efficient, though it leaned a little too passive-aggressive for Downtown standards (which, to be fair, is somewhat typical in the area). Given the circumstances of the snowstorm, I can understand that it was a rough day for the staff, so I’m inclined to cut them some slack. Overall, despite the weather-related hiccups, the food made the experience worthwhile, and I’d definitely return to try more of their menu on a better day.

AMAZING food especially for its value. The service is super friendly and nice but felt like it was rushed at the beginning and then a long wait to get the attention at the end. The outdoor heated patio was nice and warm but in spots was leaking (will blame that on the snowstorm). Would 1000% recommend to anyone, especially for a group

We got the cheese puffs, braised beef, and fried chicken. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes. Our only downside was the noise level was a bit too much and made conversation difficult.

I enjoyed the fried chicken with lobster Mac and cheese, it was so good. I also enjoyed the firecracker shrimp as well.

Soooo great!!! Loved the vibe. Aren't many places like this in Toronto! It's special. And Michelin-approved!

Don’t recommend covered patio in rain or snow…. It was dripping water everywhere. Very small space but good food.

Simply put, the food here is incredible, especially for the price! We couldn’t decide what to get because so many options looked so good, but we were happily impressed that our decisions (pork belly tacos, jerk chicken, and braised beef dishes) tasted even better than expected! Not to mention that the ambience was very romantic! It was a little noisy, and the waiters were a little more casual than the ambience would suggest, but all in all a fantastic dinner!
