   We have Connor’s on our list of special occasion restaurants that never disappoint. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is great! My children and I always enjoy our meals here!

   Good food, the lobster bisque was out of this world as well as the sirloin steak, this was one of the best steaks I have had in a long time. Thumbs-up 👍

   Normally Connors is 5 stars for us. We come here every time we’re in Sarasota. The steaks are the best and never disappoint. Tonight we walked in at 5:15p. We were seated immediately. Then we just waited. No one stopped at our table. I finally flagged a waiter down. It had been almost 15 minutes because he even checked with the hostess to figure out who our server was. It still took another 5 minutes to see our actual waiter. He apologized and said dessert would be on the house. We ordered right away and bread was brought out quickly followed by salads. Then the meals took a while. My 6 and 3 year olds were getting restless. The meals finally showed up. The steaks were perfect and they even split the sirloin in the back that the kids were sharing. After we finished the main meal the server brought the dessert menu. We ordered ice cream for the kids to eat there and a piece of chocolate mousse cake to go. Then we waited. And waited. The server finally stopped by and said he was y sure what’s taking so long but he handed me the bill and said he had them take the desserts off due to the wait. I was confused since the desserts were supposed to be on the house from the original wait. The desserts finally showed up and we never saw our server again. Thankfully, I had cash because I’d probably still be waiting at the table today. From walking in the door to leaving at 6:55p it was almost two hours total for dinner. This is really ridiculous when you have two children and no one got any appetizers or special drinks. I will be back for the food but the service needs to be better. The manager stopped mid meal to make sure our steaks were great. She should of stopped by and apologized for the ridiculously slow service.

   The meal started out nice. . Our waitress was wonderful. She had been our waitress on a previous visit. Then I found a very long black hair baked into my bread. When I told her she said “oh” and walked away. From that point on she really did not like us and was very short. The manager came by later and I told her about the hair in the roll (that was still sitting on the table). Her response was “oh no. Do you want more bread’. I wasn’t expecting anything but I would have have thought they’d be more concerned. Very disappointing and unexpected from this restaurant.

   Perfect dinner with visiting family. Conner was an excellent waiter and each course was fantastic but call out to the fried calamari- best we’d ever had.
