Étant auparavant la maison de la soprano Dame Nellie Melba, le restaurant The Melba Estate, située dans la vallée de Coombe, est une propriété exceptionnelle. Situé sur un magnifique terrain d'une superficie de près de 2,8 hectares et construit dans un ancien garage restauré, le restaurant offre une expérience culinaire et culturelle unique. Le chef exécutif, Tony Milton, propose un menu à la carte ainsi qu'un menu dégustation. Une sélection inspirante de produits de saison et principalement cultivés sur le terrain de la propriété est offerte au déjeuner, au dîner et pour le thé l'après-midi, 7 jours sur 7. Le restaurant est moderne, spacieux et à la fois intime tout en donnant sur la magnifique cour intérieure du bâtiment parfaitement restauré. Depuis le jardin intérieur, il est possible d'admirer la maison de campagne ainsi que la plus ancienne piscine de Victoria.

We chose the two course entree and main. The food was sensational. Coombe is beautiful restaurant with a nice vibe. The staff are very professional and friendly.

A great dining experience in a beautiful setting with good food and service. The set menu offers a wide range of options, catering to different tastes, and is excellent value for money. Well worth a visit.

The whole experience was excellent. Greeted well staff on arrival and treated well throughout. Garden tour was informative and enlightening. Hi Tea was well presented and tasted magnificent. Sprakles flowed well and coffee was excellent. Couldn't wish forva better way to spendvan afternoon.

Overall a good meal though main courses perhaps sitting a while before being brought to the table and a little dry. Wait staff pleasant and competent on a busy day. Excellent guide to the garden.

We had a party of 6 for lunch.Although a little pricey the food actually far exceed our expections.The service was good with everyone very accommodating to our needs.My only criticism is that you need to have a jacket ad it was a little cold. I would highly recommend Coombs.

We hadn't been to Coombes for a while - but it was as good as it ever was. The service, the food, the drinks were all wonderful. Some of our table had the 3 courses and some had the 2 courses, but either way everyone loved their food. The peach melba desert being an absolute hands down winner from all of us. I also had the beef rib and it was amazing. The guys who had Barramundi loved it. Its also great having a mid range choice of wine and high end options, it makes the entire meal cost easier - so well done. However and we've had this before - I love that you put people against the window, its lovely it feels more private for the table, and views, however I'm always freezing. I wanted to move but one of our party finds that a very uncomfortable thing to do, so I was left freezing on my left side only to find out later, so was my husband (on his right side as he was opposite). I remembered this from another time, and thats why we used to request NOT to sit against the window. (but I didn't remember until we were already been there a little while). I have no doubt that we could have moved, so this isn't Coombes fault, but I wish they could fix this aircon situation.

Fabulous experience. Food and service was excellent. Didn't like the music they were playing but that was a personal preference.
