This was my first time at the Morton Grove location. From the tasting room with Sabina, to the service provided by Marco and Rick, I will definitely be returning. We had a handful of shared appetizers, the wedge salads and short rib risotto. I’ve never had a bad experience with Cooper’s hawk. Highly recommended!

I made a reservation for my husband's birthday in the hopes that he could get a delicious filet mignon and dessert. Even with our reservation, we were seated about 15 minutes after the time we requested, which is okay for a Saturday night. But then we were seated in a corner table and very close to a large and loud party. Our server was nice to us, but she clearly did not care about our experience; ignoring our table several different times, going to the other 3 tables near us without even glancing over. The wine was delicious, but the pours were quite small. The Bruschetta appetizer was pretty good, along with the pretzel bread. But our main dishes were disappointing. My husband's filet mignon was not cooked to medium-well as he requested, and he said taste-wise it was not great. I had the butternut squash gnocchi, which was drowning in creamy sauce. Taste was pretty good, but was not heated evenly, some pieces of gnocchi were room temperature. Then the creme brulee was like a slimy butterscotch pudding with salt pellets dispersed throughout. Overall, we were really disappointed with our overall experience, especially since most of the other reviews are 5-star. We would try Cooper's Hawk again, but at a different location.

We've been coming here for years and for special occasions. Yesterday was the worst experience I have ever had. Our server, although very entertaining, seemed preoccupied with one table and would be absent for a period of time. We had to ask other staff for water after asking our own server first. Our wine took a long time to come out, and because of the wait, we felt almost rushed to drink our bottle quickly since the staff was cleaning and ready to leave. I've always recommended Coopers Hawk to friends and family. However, after this experience, I doubt I will. I hope it's just a location issue, and I'm hopeful that this was a one-time incident.
