Cork & Gabel, a restaurant fusion of Irish, Italian, and German cuisine, opened in 2018 in Detroit's Corktown district. We are known for our use of modern techniques on old school classics. European comfort food is a staple at Cork & Gabel. We pride ourselves on being a scratch kitchen, sourcing and using Michigan vendors including farmers and small business. Fresh is key when it comes to providing a great experience and we make everything we can fresh and in house.

Our food was tasty..although the fried that came with my burger arrived cold. I ordered a Basil Hayden whiskey and tonic and they charged me TWO DOLLARS for the tonic??????? Ridiculous. I don’t believe I’ve ever been charged for tonic. Next time I’ll just get it neat. The service was not good at all. Our server was Gabriel. Dirty dishes were left on the table and twice I had to ask him to clear them. He said “we just got busy”. Well…you’re a waiter…getting busy is your dream. This place isn’t that big…I’ve been a waitress many times and you don’t tell people that they have to look at dirty dishes from apps while they eat their entrees because you’re busy. We had to ask twice for salt and pepper! We were never offered dessert. Just bad service. I do enjoy Cork and Gable and will definitely be back…will just adjust my drink order and hope we get better service

As always Cork & Gabel does not disappoint. Brought family that have never been there and that absolutely loved the food and drinks. Best desserts also. Highly recommend.

I made a reservation for a Friday night, I was excited to try this place. There is street parking which we found a spot no problem. We were early and able to be seated so it worked out well. We had the calamari and doner kabob. Both were very good and recommended to us by our waiter. The food comes out very fast. In total from the time we sat down to payed the bill it was 40 minutes. If you’re getting an appetizer wait to order your food, everything came out within a minute of each other.

Our server Gabriel was knowledgeable and helpful and nice. Food and drinks were good. The atmosphere was good - love the view of the train station

The hostess was rude. The table was dirty. Most tables were filled with dirty dishes

The food and atmosphere was fabulous, however they really should have updated the website to reflect that they would not have happy hour because of Valentine’s Day. We specifically went there for their happy hour at 4 pm, only to find out they were not having it that day :(

We had a great experience. The Bloody Marys were good. The chicken was fried a little hard. My corned beef hash was great, nice big pieces of corned beef. Eggs were cooked great, I ordered them over medium. Overall the service was great, food was out quickly and ambience was nice.

We were a party of 8 celebrating a birthday and enjoyed a great space that accommodated the party size very well. Food was very good and service was great. Will definitely be back again.
