   Came up to Edinburgh for the weekend and found this hidden gem the food and drinks where of the highest quality and the staff are very helpful with dietary restrictions I would highly recommend and will come back next time I’m in Edinburgh

   Had a lovely girls lunch, Prix Fixe menu. Food was great and service excellent Only slight negative was tables against the wall a bit too close together

   I usually love the Côte Brasserie restaurants but New Years Eve dining in the Edinburgh one was very poor. Everything started well, the crudités were fab. Unfortunately the main course of sea bream came out very over cooked (hard in fact). We sent this back and it was very quickly replaced, unfortunately their next attempt was raw in the middle. Quite shocked that the chef felt it was ok to send out either fish. We didn’t want any confrontation on New Year’s Eve so paid the bill and couldn’t get out of there quick enough. My mum (who had the fish) was physically sick overnight. My meal (steak) was okay but obviously I couldn’t enjoy it when mums meal that was supposed to be a celebration of a special occasion was so poor. Not up to the usual Côte Brasserie standard and no reflection on the other restaurants in other cities. Think I’ll give the Edinburgh one a miss in future, definitely wasn’t worth the (reduced) £124 bill.

   We’ve been to Côte restaurants before and this was incredibly disappointing. It took an hour and a half to get our mains — which is already excessively long — but we were also with a child which made it worse. The food was bland and totally unsatisfactory. It was a NYE set menu (£50/person) and we didn’t even bother to wait for dessert because it had been 2 hours and 45 minutes before they even came to ask what we wanted for dessert and we were all restless at that point. There are plenty of other restaurants to go to in the area for the same price point that are worth checking out instead for far better food, service, and ambience.

    We visited Coet Brasserie in Edinburgh for their Christmas Festive Menu, and it was fantastic! The dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor, showcasing real creativity.
