   Sweet little restaurant. It was our 2nd time there. The service is excellent, quaint ambience and great location for the Venice theater . All of our dishes were cooked perfectly but we all agreed the sauces and veggies and soup were way under seasoned. But we will return for sure!

   We dined outside . It was a perfect night weatherwise. There was a concert in the park which added music to our dining experience. The food and wine were outstanding. I had the scallops and risotto for my entree. The scallops just melted in my mouth. For dessert I had the profiteroles-- fabulous!

   We booked for the Valentine’s Day set menu and it was absolutely amazing! I can still taste the flavors of the meal which was outstanding and delicious. Thank you so much for a memorable meal! My husband and I really enjoyed it.

   Valentine’s Day dinner special menu. Service was fantastic and food amazing. At first I questioned the choices for the dinner but why? The choices were perfect. I had Leg o Lamb and my wife had Duck. I don’t remember her ever ordering duck but she loved it. Both appetizers were great as well. Great wine selection and great cup of cappuccino. The food was more than plentiful! This is our go to,place to eat in the area. Always top notch. The chef is an artist. Now this place is expensive but you get what you pay for and I don’t mind paying for great food. I can’t wait to return.

   We dined the night of Superbowl so it was very quiet. Yet the French music played softly in the background. I requested a table upstairs, which was nice and private on such an evening. Linens and cloth napkins on the tables looked pretty. The waitstaff were pleasant and friendly as well as helpful. The menu was varied enough to make us want to savor it all. We were happy the French onion soup was not salty. It was absolutely wonderful! The risotto with scallops was so delicious. The lemon tart was tasty and the chocolate profiterole with ice cream was light and divine! The salmon with broccoli tasted quite good, as well. The one thing that would be wonderful, would be to dim the lights upstairs. The lights need more shading. Otherwise, I recommend this little restaurant as one of my ultimate favorites. It opened in 2016 when we first arrived. We have been there for breakfast and lunch a few times but now, we dined at night. French pastry is the best! I am addicted to it. The prices were pretty much average for fancier fare around Sarasota County. The atmosphere is special. I am so delighted that Cote France survived years of reconstruction around Venice, the hurricanes, red tide, and Covid! Family owned businesses are always a pleasure to support.

   My wife truly enjoyed her Scallops and Risotto. I had the Snapper Special. The fish was done to perfection and it came with a butternut squash puree and asparagus. The Squash presented a very sweet component that I thought fought the more delicate seasoning of the fish. We both shared the appetizer of escargot and it was perfect. Had a lovely evening.

   Friendly upbeat help. The restaurant was full on the main level where we sat and was still easy to converse. We will be back.

   Great food and service as usual. Included is an opportunity to watch the waite staff run up and down the stairs, hands full of plates, never spilling anything.

    Food and ambience were very good. However, the service left a bit to be desired though they might’ve been understaffed. Our waitress really never checked on us, we had to go to her to order more wine or ask for the bill.
