We have been enjoying Park City and Deer Valley since the 90’s. Staying and dinning at many wonderfully varied spots. Now we travel here with friends, grandchildren and extended family. With that said Tallisker has always carried prestige by reputation in this area and tonight was a mixed bag of feedback. Greeted by a friendly and efficient host we were taken to a lovely table near the window and views of the exhibition style kitchen. Prompt bread and water service. Our darling server, Isabel, was delightful, patient and polished. The sommelier Jeff delighted our table with provenance and witty banter. We ordered the Smoked Trout Salad, Butternut Bisque and Pork chop. The salad lacked the actual smoked trout and was overpowered by the citrus and humongous butter leaf lettuce. The soup was a thick pureé not close to the mentioned bisque yet, the flavor had balance. Our bone in double pork chop was ordered “chef’s preference” and sadly arrived overdone. Green beans were crispy but, the bacon not properly rendered. Berry reduction added a pleasant tartness and potato rosti were crispy but, cold. Overall the service team was the star and the food fell into shadows.

A friend recommended this place. Vibe is good. Extremely cold outside didn’t quite translate into comfortable inside. Heater appeared to not be working well. Food was excellent for most of the guests. Service was good and Somalier was engaging and helpful, too. We’d return if the opportunity arose.

Lazy. I ordered the vegetarian, edible it was covered with so much thick sauce. Husband ordered filet mignon, medium, and it was raw in the center. Service was not particularly welcoming. Extremely average evening at a big price point.
