The team behind Crave Fishbar, NYC's first 100% sustainable seafood restaurant, is enhancing their reputation as the go-to fish brand by opening Crave Sushi Bar, directly next door to their midtown location of Crave Fishbar, and in keeping with the ethos of the group, have a focus on sustainable domestic fish.Items such as Local Sea Scallop Nigiri with beurre noisette and celtic sea salt; Kona Kampachi Sashimi - shiso yuzu pesto, topped with popped quinoa; Dressed Hudson Valley Steelhead Trout Sashimi highlight Chef Mitgang’s bold approach to the cuisine.Beverage program is overseen by Brian Owens with a large sake selection, cocktails paired for the food menu, Japanese whiskys, and tequila, which Owens believes is a great pairing.The space is centered by a sushi bar, comfy booths and banquettes with seating for 60 people. Their responsible and ethical sourcing practices carry over into the materials used for the design: weathered metals, textured woods, an oceanic color palette.

Introducing our Hand Roll @ High-Ball Cocktail Happy Hour every day 5-6:30pm centered around open-style sushi hand rolls (think sushi tacos) that are two bites of locally sourced and creative genius delivered to your table within seconds of being rolled up. All of our hand rolls are $8 and we feature daily specials of what just landed in our local waters that our fishmonger sources seasonally. We also feature a Wagyu bao bun sourced from our friends at New England Wagyu farms. And what is happy hour without a great deal on drinks? Our bar team has created a fun selection of High-Ball cocktails focused on using high quality spirits topped with Badger Beverages, a local craft soda purveyor. All of our High-Ball cocktails are priced at $10

Very good deal for Happy Hour- the food was excellent and came out quickly, but the bar/drink service was slower-They did apologize and give an extra sushi dish for that which was appreciated. I would definitely go back and recommend:

Solid midtown sushi choice with creative dressings. A bit expensive for what it is given the tight space and close tables.

Incredible food and service. Hard to believe it has been 1 year since the opening. Crave Sushi Bar is now an entrenched restaurant in this neighborhood. It is the best sushi experience in all of New York City. My wife and I are always felt welcomed at the restaurant.

This was an incredible experience from start to finish! First, the staff is amazing. Friendly and attentive. Always providing service with a smile. The food was exceptional. We eat a lot of sushi; we haven't had sushi like this! What a treat! Fresh, unique, curated based on our preferences, and truly delicious! We cannot wait to go back! Hurry up and go before everyone else finds out about it and you can't get in!

On our last night in New York for a birthday trip we were looking for a cozy sushi spot that had a bit of a fusion flare, and we found exactly what we were looking for at Crace Sushi Bar! We love that they have a focus of sustainability, but beyond that, the food was incredible! The flavors are sophisticated and also priced right. I would make this my local favorite sushi spot if we lived in town. The service was also top notch. It felt like we were locals from the first moment we entered the restaurant and sat at the sushi bar. Would highly recommend <3

Servers were great. Food was amazing. We were even able to get drinks from Crave Fish Bar next door. Great experience and service. Highly recommend.

Salmon hand roll, scallop nigiri were the two standouts. Crispy rice was good and hamachi sashimi recommended as well. Would def come back!
