   Went for Sunday lunch as a treat with visiting family. Starters were nice. We all had roadt beef for main. This was average at best. All food on the plate tasted the same - of a herby/garlicky gravy. Potatoes were rock hard on one side and hard to cut (without fear or turning them into missiles while cutting) and the beef looked like bought in slices and was quite tough. All under par for a £15 roast dinner. Service was poor. One lady was quite rude and had the other local pub been available we'd have left before ordering food. There were only 3 to 4 active tables so not really very busy. The dining area just lacked atmosphere (background music would have helped). We rarely eat out, but wanted to support our local businesses on the odd occasion we do, but for the price we will probably rethink and opt to cook at home in future which is a shame. Have eaten here in the past (few years ago) and was impressed then, so a little disappointed by this recent experience.

   Another excellent meal. The food is homemade and delicious. Steak perfect, stew tender and filling. Liver and burger all great. The pub is warm and cozy, with welcoming and efficient staff. Definitely our favourite pub in the village.

   Excellent food with homemade chips and tarta sauce. Great service and pleasant dog friendly pub , can't fault it.

   We went for Sunday lunch. The food was flavoursome and plentiful but three of our party of five were served burnt yorkshire puddings. The food could have also been hotter. Having said that, it was a really windy rainy day and people were coming through the door, creating a real draft which could have contributed to the low temperature of the food.

   It was my first visit to the Crown and Glove. It was lunchtime and the staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Eating out is difficult for me as I have a garlic intolerance and so many meals have garlic in them somewhere. I was able to have the quiche which was excellent. The portions were very generous and the flavour of the quiche up with the best I have ever had. I would recommend as the best place that I have personally eaten in the area

   The guy that serves us was very nice but overall the service wasn’t good. Only us and one other family dining, took ages for someone to actually take our order, no one came back to clear the table, we had to ask for the dessert menu, there wasn’t one, just 3 pieces of cheesecake left, no one asked if we wanted more drinks. We then had to ask for coffees, took 15 mins to make 4 drinks, then one of our party had to collect them from the bar and bring them to the table! They only seemed Interested in the people in the tap side that were there for the entertainment which was absolutely shocking!! The guy singing couldn’t sing and it was so loud it was very annoying! Shame cause the Food was really nice but the service has put us off wanting to go again.

    Was great again but 2 items ordered had to be changed due to not being available as menu is changing but not an issue as food is great.
