Newly relaunched on 10/29/24 as "Heritage East," on the beautiful square in Downtown Tyler.

Modern East Texas cuisine by award winning (Cochon 555 "Prince of Pork," Texas Bucket List "Bite of the Season" for our Heritage Pork Chop) and Food Network Chopped featured Chef Lance McWhorter. Locally raised steaks, chops, chicken, wild game, seafood, handmade pastas, all served from an open kitchen that is right in the dining room.

Our speakeasy bar, The Plaid Rabbit, is open to the public, happy hours are Tues-Sat, 5-7. Check in with our hostess to access.

Patio seating is available for reservations, indoor replacement seating may not be available for reservations interrupted due to inclement weather. Reserve at your own risk. Due to the small size of our dining room, no high chairs or room for strollers is available.

Food is always amazing …literally every time it’s been spot on …atmosphere is cozy and comfortable it’s an experience itself just watching them prep the food ….its our go to date night spot in tyler hands down

With the exception of a really unpleasant host, the restaurant is fantastic. Our server, Kyle, was kind and gracious, as well as responsive and professional. The food was fantastic. We had both steak and fish. The atmosphere was an interesting mix of eclectic and quaint. The restaurant, although somewhat small, had a very nice atmosphere for conversation. I don’t live in Tyler, but it was nice to find a place that was a little bit upscale, and was conducive to enjoying your time with who you are with. I will gladly go again, with the hope that they get their host situation worked out. Even if they don’t, it is still worth it.

Heritage’s new menu offers a lot of options you can’t find anywhere else in Tyler. Chef Lance’s creativity is amazing. My new favorite entree is the redfish (amazing). As always, Kyle’s knowledge of the menu and his attentiveness to our needs is second to none. As always, thanks for a fantastic dining experience.

Chef Lance’s new Heritage East is awesome. I loved Culture ETX and now I love his new place. It’s creative, embodies deep East Texas and the food is fabulous. The host staff and servers are the best, they are some of the reasons we keep coming back. Great food, great people!
