The idea of Da Vinci Restaurant can be traced back to 2014, when Elena proud owner and head chef, discovered Scotland for the first time, and decided to introduce some of the Tuscan gastronomic traditions to the cordial people of the stunning land. Since our opening night in September 2017, we have been learning and improving happily as a small independent business. We are proud to serve delicious Authentic Italian staples and promote unique but authentic flavours of Tuscany. From starter to dessert, including wine and liquors, our aim is to offer an experience that is closest to our native land.

Our slogan is "Love for good food".

First time at this restaurant and definitely not the last. The food was excellent. Service was terrific. Staff were friendly. Value was great. Overall, would recommend this restaurant.

The food and staff in this hidden gem were both superb. The passion shown by the staff for their food, was a joy. Will be back

Having booked a table online for 630 pm on Saturday 27 April we arrived on time. Service was fine and food okay, but slow to bring out the main course. We wanted a dessert and asked the waitress for a menu, at the same time ordering another prosecco and glass of wine, which we were served with However, the menu was not forthcoming, so we asked another member of staff for one. We requested the bill, which we paid and were sitting chatting when at 8.05 pm the waitress approached us and said she needed the table 'now' - my wife had not even finished her drink! We were somewhat taken aback as no one had said to us when we came in that there was a 'time limit' on the table and nor had there been any indication when we booked online! My wife finished her drink and we left, but there was no member of staff in the restaurant to ask why no one had said there was a time limit on the table. In fact, there were other customers, who were in situ when we arrived and were still there when we left! We put in a complaint through 'Opentable' when we got home, but have not yet had a reply, more than a week later. Perhaps someone can explain to us why we were treated so shabbily. Until then, we won't be returning and nor will we recommend Da Vinci to anyone else.

This is a very friendly restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good music. It was cosy with a roaring log burning stove. Menu and wine list choice was very good with authentic Italian dishes and wines. We would definitely return on our next visit to the city.

Staff were nice, maybe asked how we were, a bit too often to be honest. Upstairs was nice and quiet when we were in. Food was ok but one main had to be put back as it was too well done.

Visited this restaurant purely on the basis we enjoyed it as a French Bistro years ago (another lifetime/owner) and thought as in the vicinity , why not? Excellent piece of "happenstance" as food excellent and the waitress was exceptional in "directing" choice! Superb "alternative" wine offered as our first choice was not available. Same with suggested upselling and everybody felt they had the "good/best choice". So glad we left room for desserts - SUEperb!!
