   Such an amazing experience at Daebak. A large group of us went for dinner and the service and food were impeccable. Affordable and great quality! The atmosphere was fun and not too loud. Great experience all around!

   Great experience and even sang to me for my bday with candles and nice pastries..the food is amazing..always an enjoyable experience with the family.

   This has been one of our (hubby and me) favorite places to visit over the years. We usually visited the China Town location and decided on the Wicker Park location this time to celebrate his birthday! They were able to accommodate our reservation of 17 ppl. Everyone enjoyed the food and overall had a great experience amongst friends. The entire restaurant also joined in for singing happy birthday to my husband lol. Needless to say, it’s a staple in our lives and we will be back! ~Penny

   Disappointing Experience, Will Not Return I recently visited this restaurant with a group of 16 people, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. In Korean BBQ, it's standard to receive one set of banchan (side dishes) per person, plus free refills. However, we were only provided with four sets of banchan for our group of 16, and when we asked for refills, we were charged extra. This was not communicated to us beforehand, and we felt misled. When we spoke to the owner about the issue, she confirmed that they charge for side dishes and also added a 20% tip on top of everything. However, this was not disclosed to us prior to the meal, and we were left to pay without arguing, as we had clients with us and didn’t want to cause a scene. It seemed like the owner was taking advantage of the fact that the majority of their customers are non-Korean locals, who may not be familiar with proper Korean BBQ dining practices. To make matters worse, the food quality was poor, and the service was subpar. We had to grill the BBQ ourselves, with little to no assistance from the staff. The amount of meat provided was noticeably smaller than what we’ve received at other Korean BBQ restaurants. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially for large groups. We had clients with us, and it was extremely uncomfortable to have to deal with these issues during the meal. There are plenty of other Korean BBQ spots in the area that provide better food, service, and value.

   Portion sizes were extremely small. Rushed service. Low quality meats. If you want authentic KBBQ, just go to Iron Age. At least you’ll get a bang for your buck and not highway robbery at this place.

   We really enjoyed our dinner. Unlike restaurants like Perilla, the servers cook the food on the bbq and follow a particular order in which they cook the meats. We would have liked a little more say in this. That said, we loved the food. We would come back.

    This place has some amazing rice cakes and ramen..not to mention the meat selection is so tender and mouth watering..me and my 2 daughters had an awesome dinner ..Love this place!!!
