   Evening ambiance is a puzzle. Mexican and Spanish themed music is wonderful but not when it is at decibels that impair casual conversation. Have had wonderful experiences during lunch time at Dahlia, but by comparison, dinner hour on 1/28 was dreadful. We would have left if we had not placed our order. Do yourself a favor and save your money until the management figures out who they want to be. Plenty of other great choices in Sioux Falls that don’t require ear plugs to enjoy a nice evening out!

   We shared a Burger Battle burger and had a couple of drinks. Service was excellent. Burger was good. Didn’t care for the corn topping. Margarita was a bit small, but quite good. We will be back to try some other dishes.

   The venue and area are great. Nice decor, comfortable seating, great vibe In the new Steel District. The hostess was seating the people In front of us with a scowl. A nice young server came to seat us, and I told him about our reservation on open table. Later during our meal, I received a phone call- where a woman said-Is this (my name). Is said yes. She said- Are you at Dahlia (somewhat rudely). I replied yes. Then silence. I asked who was calling and she said the hostess. And then nothing. I replied I mentioned our reservation upon arrival and she just huffed. She needs phone etiquette training. And maybe just hosting and etiquette training. It was not busy while we were there. Our server was great. No issues. Informative and fun. Queso was delicious and my son had the burger battle burger which was delicious and huge. I had the shrimp tacos which tasted good but were served very cold. My husband had chicken tacos and they were great. Love all the tequila options and drinks. I will definitely be back and realize this place is pretty new and still getting fine tuned.

   We came here for my spouse’s birthday. The restaurant is beautiful. Great ambiance. The service was fantastic. The food was not good at all. The chips that were brought to the table were beyond too salty. Not edible. I had a salad that was so salty and drowning in a lime dressing. Neither one of us could eat it. My husband could not eat his entree because it was so over the top spicy and he loves spicy foods. The waitress did comp our entrees, which we did not ask for but did appreciate. Very disappointed in the food. Probably would not come back for a meal maybe a drink.

   Great food, great value, and great service. The only nit to pick is that I we got seated 15 minutes after our reservation, even though the table was empty. Not a big deal at all.

   The Birria empanadas and shrimp tacos were delicious! For $14 each we got 2 empanadas and 2 tacos (the soft tortillas were also very good!) They don’t come with a side, so a little high in price for what you get. Chips and salsa were good. A few chips were a little chewy (?) House-made? The restaurant is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. We will be back!

   So good! Loved the burger battle burger. Tastes like a street taco. Make sure to try the Guacamole Elote! My husband had the salmon and it was also very flavorful. Would recommend this place.

    We were celebrating our 43rd anniversary! The food was great and service was excellent. Caleb was our server and was awesome. We were treated with a anniversary dessert on the house. A great value and a cool place!! Bob and Wanda
