    I’ve been there many times and today I had brought family in from out of town and we were all disappointed in the service. Especially since it’s not a cheap place. Our server was pretty horrible. She never introduced herself, when I asked which kinds of bread they had she said I don’t know and never offered to check, she never checked on us or asked how our food was or if anyone needed anything and when we sat there for a while after, she never came back to ask if we wanted water or if the few people that showed up later wanted anything. Also checked on reservation that it was someone’s birthday in our party and although that could have been an issue with communication from the server, she didn’t offer a free dessert for them Or even say happy birthday.

    We were ignored for at least 5 minutes after being seated. It was a Monday night and the restaurant was empty. Coming to take our order was after thought. There was no welcome to our restaurant, have you been here before, are you celebrating anything, do you have any questions, it was what do you want. The food was average at best, the salad was over dressed and to acidic, the oysters were sandy, the banana foster pudding was mediocre at best.

    We went to brunch at this restaurant. I had the Bison Hash and others in my party had the garden omelet, avocado toast, and the shrimp & grits. I had a bite of the other plates and everything tasted great! A serious pet peeve that this restaurant can easily remedy and save time & money in the process, is how management apparently encourages the servers to NOT write down people's orders but commit them to memory instead. Perhaps the management thinks that this somehow is part of their brand's culture or something. I don't know. However, since we had several dishes brought to us simply wrong (and not what we ordered) --- where I got over-hard eggs when I ordered over-medium, my wife got runny eggs (when she asked for hard poached eggs a la carte) and my sister who ordered an entirely different dish got the hard-poached eggs instead, that just makes things irritating. We then asked for a grilled salmon fillet prepared simple (salt and pepper) for my young daughter, but they brought smoked salmon. Mind you, that smoked salmon tasted delicious (I took a small bite) but it wasn't what we ordered, and my daughter didn't like it. To the restaurant's credit, the server brought out a new salmon for us and also brought out a pouched egg as ordered for my wife, but I just let my own incorrect order just slide since I didn't want to wait for any new dish. If this restaurant lets their servers simply WRITE DOWN their customers' orders --- you know, like how they've done in eating establishments for the past few centuries --- things would go much smoother for all parties involved. To sum up: It sounds like I'm down on this place. I'm not. The food was really good, and the greenspace play area next door is great for families with kids. But just WRITE DOWN THE ORDERS! Good grief, people! This is an EASY Fix for this restaurant! If this place wants to be "different", give your servers tablets, smart phones, or paper plates to take down orders, but TAKE THEM DOWN!

    Ambiance was great! But the service was not good at all. We waiting 20-25 minutes just to see our server. It was not a busy night. Shrimp & Grits were horrible

    Over an hour to get dinner. Over salted snapper was not edible. David, our server, was slow and inattentive. Manager tried to make things better but likely will not return.

    We were seated on the patio but I don’t feel that the restaurant was prepared for patrons to be on a patio. Weather was cold and it was rainy. The restaurant didn’t have enough heaters to go around and parts of the patio were not covered. The table and seat cushions we were seated at were wet. Staff was great and tried to accommodate us and even comped us a desert. Food was getting cold fairly quickly due to the cold weather. Overall, food and service were great but ambiance and overall experience was below what I expected.

    I like the food and liked the service. My issue is they Nickle and Dime you for everything. I ordered spaghetti, but it’s $5 extra for each meatball… really… each meatball!!! I don’t mind paying extra for a protein, but each meatball!… which was the size of a golf ball. You also had to pay $2 extra for cornbread for your soup or salad. I ordered a Tom Collins and they charged me extra for Hendricks Gin that I did not request and the drink was $18. I’ve NEVER spent $18 on a Tom Collins’s even at a 4 and 5 star restaurant. I wouldn’t come again solely on the pricing of the restaurant.

    Disappointing Valentine’s Day Experience I made a reservation to take my fiancé to dinner on Valentine’s Day. Upon arrival, we were told that our reservation was for outdoor seating. We kindly requested to be considered for an indoor table, and they assured us they would let us know if anything became available. We waited outside in 49°F weather, hoping for a table inside. After some time, we decided to move to the bar since that was the only option they offered. However, during our time there, we noticed several empty tables that remained unoccupied throughout the evening. It was surprising and disappointing that they didn’t accommodate us, especially given the circumstances. Was not worth the $250 check. The food was average at best—small portions with high prices. Unfortunately, the overall experience left us with no desire to return or recommend this place to others. Let me know if you’d like any further tweaks!
