When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. The American Steakhouse offers an expansive 1,800 square foot subterranean courtyard allowing patrons to dine al fresco and enjoy a New Orleans-inspired exterior space. This cool oasis is complete with a 20 foot, 5-tiered granite water wall, multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit, and black granite bar. Dakota's below-ground patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.

We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. Each steak is aged for a minimum of 28 days for a perfectly tender, juicy bite every time.

It is our goal to give you a great meal every time you join us for lunch or dinner.

We went for Valentine’s Day and this was our first time going. There was an abundance of food. I got the NY strip steak and my wife got the double cut pork chop’s. The food was the best I have ever had. The seasoning and flavor were off the charts. It was cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth. The atmosphere is amazing. Judge was our waiter and he was phenomenal.

Bryan was a good host. The food & ambiance was good. We enjoyed the live music and the rose was a nice addition. The photo section was unexpected and I’m glad we went. Great Valentine’s Day weekend thanks to Dakota’s!

Bar area seating felt like we were at a local bar. Steak was under cooked and lobster was over cooked. Food was below average and definitely not worth the price, the fixed menu made the overall experience feel cheap. Not a pleasant Valentine’s Day experience.

Valentines was amazing, they had a background to take pictures in-front of and handed you a rose on the way to be seated. I had the lobster rigatoni, and truffle cheesecake both were 10/10!!! Julio is literally the best waiter hands down, I’ve been to Dakotas 3x, we had him twice and he will for sure elevate the experience!!!

The extreme of sending a dress code but I saw jeans and sneakers come all night. My server Brian D was amazing. The lobster tail was very tender and the mustard seeds were a great add onto for the crab cakes. Overall good experience
