   Understanding it was Christmas our reservation was at 5:45 and we arrived at 5:30 and was seated quickly. Our waited provided water and then forgot about us. When we finally got him over to take our order he tried to have us order a bottle of wine when all we wanted were a glass each. When we did not want that he walked away. We got him over again after he took the order of a 6 top who came in after our 2 top. At 6 p.m. they were out of anything we wanted and again tried to have us order their special "7 Fishes" which was not what either of wanted. My feeling is that the restaurant was ill prepared for the reservations taken. All the waiter did was make excuses. The atmospher was loud and chaotic. We left and had a great meal down the street at Thassos where the atmosphere was festive, food was excellent and service impeccable.

   My family went there for Christmas dinner and had the Feast of the Seven Fishes, Lamb Shank, Gnocchi, and Parpadelle pasta, all delicious. Appetizers and bread were great, and you must try the pear martini. Wonderful evening with great service!

   Unfortunately they had over an hour waiting for our table. Even though we had a reservation. You would think a restaurant that has been in business for such a long time would had better management skills honoring our reservation time. We will never come back during any special day. We were charged for life music we couldn’t even hear.

   We had to wait 20 minutes and we had a confirmed reservation! The table was fine, server was ok and the food just ok. Christmas Eve dining was definitely overpriced for the meal. Entertainment was really loud too. Over all just an OK dining experience!

   We went for Xmas eve dinner and didn’t know they only had a special menu which we were not informed of when we reserved. We had to provide a credit card upon reservation to secure a table and no notice was given about a special menu that’s all you could order from . The menu was limited and seemed like they increased all the prices. We had 1 glass of wine each (2 total) 1 appetizer 3 bowls of pasta 1 desert and 1 espresso and it was $225. The real icing on the cake was the $9 ($3 each) live music fee added to each persons bill with no notice)we sat outside and couldn’t hear the music except on a speaker. When we first arrived they told us not to sit inside as it’s so loud you can’t think.(seems so strange you would have music that loud and charge for it) So sneaky and it ruined the experience.the food usually tastes great and so is the service. We felt duped and disappointed

   When we arrived for our reservation we were told we would have to be out of our table in an hour and 15 minutes. I understand the restaurant being busy on Christmas Eve, but if we were going to be limited to an hour we should have been told when we made the reservations and they required us to put a deposit on the reservation. The music started 15 minutes before our dinner was over and yet we were each charged $3 as a music fee. The food was excellent as usual. However, the experience was way below expectation

   Highly overpriced ripoff! Not sure if its just that they thought they could steal more money from patrons because its xmas eve but to pay 84 dollars for an entree for "7 fishes" and there only be 1 shrimp as one of the 7 fishes is not right. Not even a jumbo prawn. This was a small shrimp. There were two scallops on the smaller side also. Very small lobster tail that was under cooked and you couldnt get it out of the shell. Spent almoSt 120 for my meal and left hungry. Also my 15 dollar drink was watered down alcohol. I know what water in alcohol tastes like not an authentic mixed drink. So disappointed! Service was horrible too. The only checked on us for order. Never came back with the breat my 14 month old son wanted to eat after we asked for a piece for him. This is by far the most disappointing xmas eve meal we have ever had.

    I eat here roughly once a week and have enjoyed this restaurant for years. That’s why I was shocked at last nights dinner when the service and food went down drastically. It’s a new waiter so I can excuse it this time but wow… when I asked for grated cheese he went over to the next table (who had finished their meal and left) and grabbed their used bowl of grated cheese and gave it to use… is that even legal? Obviously I ate the eggplant without the grated cheese. Historically the service staff has been excellent. But this guy needs to learn this isn’t a third world country and customers have standards.
