Located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale and walking distance from the beach shore, Dal Contadino Trattoria is a celebration of rustic homestyle Italian cuisine. Indulge in a relaxing ambiance while enjoying handmade pastas, a catch of the day, Tuscany steak and daily specials crafted by Chef Nuccio.

Live Music on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.
Social Mondays: 1/2 OFF cocktails, $2 meatballs/each. Wine Tuesdays: 1/2 OFF bottles of wine up to $100.
Happy Hour: special menu offering select food and drinks, everyday from 4-6 pm at the bar and bar area only.

Great spot; very tasty dishes; although, our server seemed to be overwhelmed .. had to call for attention every time we needed something; over capacity seating. Towards the end of our meal they were trying to clear us away just as I was enjoying my espresso & canoli to flip the table. Not saying I wouldn’t go back just sharing my experience!

We made reservations for 730. We didn’t get into the restaurant until almost 8. There was a huge crowd outside, and it was an even bigger crowd on the inside. We finally sat down on a table where you couldn’t really move around or anybody can move around by us except for my side where the server was a female. We ordered dinner. I ordered the vodka dish pasta with the vodka sauce reduction, and it had pancetta in it. My guest ordered the ravioli with veal. He ordered a vodka drink with soda. I ordered Chardonnay. He ordered meatballs as an appetizer two small meatballs came in a bowl. I should’ve let him eat both of them, but I realized how much he had for dinner. His pasta ravioli was $32 for the plate which is way too high for something he barely had in his plate. He was still hungry so he was eating mine which caused about 27 or $29 plus I had what they call a Mista MISTA salad that was $12 believe me it was not worth the 12. I’ve eaten in this restaurant several times before and I didn’t really have any problems which I didn’t have any now, but the food is good but way too expensive. My guest chose this restaurant because it’s close to where he lives a little further from me, but I’ve eaten here a number of times and he just wanted to please me by paying for my dinner and a restaurant I’ve eaten before. I would like to try other restaurants and I have around town. Guess it’s about the going right for cost. I don’t think I’ll be coming back too soon. I’d like to try someplace else. The server was very nice. The ambience was very loud because there’s so many people in there. They just packed them in. I prefer something more intimate. Like I said, the food is overpriced. Overall, I guess I would give the restaurant a three or four star even though I wasn’t totally happy.

We always have a fun time as Long as the chef sings lol. The food was great but sorry to see they changed the straight up grilled vegetable salad to an antipasto .

Wonderful food, service, ambience. They had a variety of appetizers and great main courses. Definitely will be back. The only bad thing was that our table was inside and they had a piano player that plays very loud music so you can’t have conversations at the table. I realized when leaving that they have tables outside on the side of the restaurant in order to avoid the noise inside and the piano player.

It was Valentine night with full house but they get so well organized that the service was as if we were there alone also the piano man made it more enjoyable. The food was very good although obviously was a limited valentines menu

They were over booked for Valentine Day so service was slow, lobster ravioli was amazing and so is the tiramisu

The place was overbooked and crowded with a long queue of people who all had reservations, and we had to wait for a long time in the street! Our marina catch pasta was “sold out” on the menu when we got in. Cramped table space. Overall not a great experience

The Trattoria was mobbed on Valentines Day, but we really enjoyed the food, live music and ambiance. I had the scallops appetizer as my entree, and we split the peach burratta. We both tried some signature cocktails and split a dessert - coffee tiramisu. Enjoyable and felt like a Scene from an Italian restaurant

Food was excellent. Smaller menu for Valentine's day but can't wait to experience the full menu. Definitely will go back again.

The entire meal was excellent- as it is every time we are there. Love the Dolce eggplant, the pear purse pasta and to finish it off the pistachio cheesecake. So delicious. You will not be disappointed
