Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities.

In cohesion with the Presidio National Park, the design features soft, natural colors; repurposed furniture items from the Presidio; and a mural and a hand-drawn wall paper by Bay Area artist Emily Parkinson. Diners can enjoy a patio with a view of Alcatraz; an intimate private dining room; a lofty main dining room surrounded by windows on two sides; a cozy bar that is a local favorite; and an open-concept kitchen counter with counter seats and high tables.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Laura and Sayat

From the OpenTable editors: This Presidio restaurant—where the food is just as stunning as the Bay views—is founders Laura and Sayat Ozyilmaz love letter to the Eastern Mediterranean. The menu is meant for sharing; the fluffy pitas are a must-order with hummus and muhammara. Better still, go for the chef's menu, so you can get the best of Dalida's juicy kebabs and seafood that landed it a spot on Esquire's Best New Restaurants list.

We loved the fix menu served for New Year lunch. Midye dolma was amazing and hummus platters, they served halibut with squash in a creative and delicious way. Pleasure meeting the chef Sayat. We brought our bottle of wine and paid $40 cork fee, which is a little high than usual. Anyways worth for the experience. We will be back there soon.

This was one of the worst meals I have ever paid for in terms of quality of food for price. The main course was flavorless mush. The dessert course dishes were quite frankly disgusting. Deeply disappointing.

Lovely food and fun menu and beautiful space! Acoustics are not good and it’s super loud, difficult for conversation. Please add panels to the ceiling

Besides the food being delicious and nice ambiance,it was reasonably priced. Also, the service was excellent. I loved the breaded eggs and the dessert with meringue. Definitely worth a visit. I will go again.

The food here is a fascinating eclectic version of Mediterranean food different from what we have had before. Sauces are especially good combining savory and sweet. The Tabouleh was delicious as were the Cypriot Lamb chops. Chubby pita a great vehicle for hummous , Muhammara and Smokey yogurt. we will be back to try all the other intriguing dishes on the menu.

I would say last night’s dining experience was a cheers and jeers experience. The jeers part was the staff is efficient, however, not friendly. Our server, bus person both cold. The seasonal vegetables plate was some sort of root and not particularly flavorful. The cheers part was there is one friendly staff, lady, grey short hair, glasses, host who is always nice. The octopus, lamb and bread, all delicious.

Seated at the “Chef’s table / counter” allowed us to watch a well choreographed team prepare several menu items for various guests including our order. The assistance with the wine pairing added to the experience. Looking forward to our next time!!
