We had a great time, the food and the drinks were delicious. We slipped on some dirty martinis, enjoyed Godiva fettuccine with shrimp and vodka sauce, and chicken Parmesan with penne. The piano bar was such a great touch to the restaurant, with the player taking requests. Had a very home-like, cozy feeling. We would definitely come back!

It's a tight spot for dining. Tables are snug. Food was good but it took a very long time to get our order. Made a reservation at 5pm. Didn't eat until 6:15. Had to get to a show at 7 so we felt rushed to eat. Would've like to order dessert but had to go.

They overbooked the restaurant. We waited at the small crowded bar for 40 minutes and left. Total tourist trap. Do yourselves a favor and leave the district for dinner.

We made a reservation on Open Table for dinner before a show. Midtown traffic was a nightmare so we called to say we would be late and they were backed up as well so no big deal. Our reservation was for 5:30 but apparently Open Table overbooked them so we didn't get seated until 6:30 to make a 7:30 show. We had a drink at the bar while we waited, our bartender was great even though she was slammed by the sheer number of people waiting to be seated. The maitre d was very pleasant as he shuffled reservations and people. Our waiter was fantastic (I assume they encounter these hurry up situations quite often) he recommended dishes that could be prepared more quickly. Our meals were delicious, we had plenty of time to eat and get to our nearby show. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable by NYC standards. I would definitely recommend DaMarino NYC, just give yourself plenty of time. Mal

Do not book at this restaurant through open table. I booked a table for 4 prior to our Broadway show. We arrived 5 minutes before our confirmed booking and I was told by the host that we had booked a table at the bar, which he said were tables that could not be booked. He then told me he would put us on the waiting list, which was 45 minutes long. We did not have the time to wait before our show so had to try several different restaurants before we found one with availability. Why would they put tables you cannot book on open table? Ridiculous. I suggest that they do the necessary updates to their restaurant details so this doesn't happen to other people.

We have been here several times, seems the food & service have deteriorated since our last visit. We were sat in a tiny corner unable to get out unless the people at the table next to us moved .. Food was just average, nothing special, service was good given how cramped we were & how the server had to try to get by the other tables to reach us. Not going again, it’s way too expensive to get average food & be stuck in a pokey corner.

Perfect spot to have a delicious dinner with my mom before the theatre! We didn’t feel rushed, even though it was a busy, holiday night. The shrimp was amazing!!
