   Wonderful food. It is very obvious that the chef cares about the quality of food presented to his guest. Each dish is created with thoughtful balance and the best of ingredients. I love that I can order different size portions and try many things on the menu. Not my first time at Dante's and hopefully not the last one. My favorite place to eat in Cleveland.

   Dante’s food quality and ambience is always fabulous. We caught them on an off night I believe for service and service was incredibly slow. Totally understand most people are there for the long haul dining. Most of the customers that night were doing the chefs tasting, which is a very long drawn out process with many courses of wines and food selections. However, for someone that just wants to eat off the regular menu, it was so incredibly slow slowed down that everyone at the table kept looking around to try to find the server for everything in attempt to speed up even slightly. There was one server for at least four tables on the outside portion of the restaurant. We sat in the front window, which was incredibly cold, but that’s what you get when you’re seated at an outside window. Should work on those heaters a little bit as they did not help. Our appetizers came one hour after seating, and entrées came almost 2 hours in. Had to chase down the server for the check, obviously no dessert because we were so long into the game here it just seemed uncomfortably slow for regular diners. From the business standpoint, even if sped up slightly more, they probably could’ve seated another group that night and made some more money if they had just been a little more efficient. Our meals were amazing, short rib was fabulous, steak was fabulous, swordfish was fabulous, amazing wine menu, so there is a lot of good stuff there.

   Service was outstanding. Black cod, salmon, and short ribs all got rave reviews. The vegan strudel was so so. Perfect place for family celebration

   We have always had the best experience at Dante - until tonight. My husband and I went to Dante for my birthday and we both did the 5 course tasting, like we always do. We made 2 requests - no tartare and no duck. The first course was some version of a salmon sashimi. The salmon was so fishy we couldn’t even eat it. It was topped with salmon roe that was even more fishy and slimy and gross. The second course was - you guessed it - duck ravioli. The other 3 dishes were so bland and boring it’s not even worth typing about. Our server was very smug and not overly friendly or kind. We were 0 for 5 for this 5 course dinner. We have always raved about Dante - the service, the food, the whole experience - but this was a total bust and a complete waste of $300. We won’t be back for a long time, if ever.

   Our meals were unbelievably good. We both opted for Chef Dante's Tasting menu and each of the five courses served were delicious. Service was outstanding. Our server along with the other team members made us feel welcome and truly created a memorable evening for us. Highly recommend Dante especially for special occasions.
